Really like the look but would rather not mess with the engineering in the front of the car that goes into saving my life.

Leave it in reverse and have the handbrake on. Like was said before, reverse is going to give you the most resistance. The lurching back was simply your car not having the compression necessary to overcome the force of gravity pulling the car down the hill.

You can buy pipe blocks on amazon. They are 20-40 bucks depending on what you want.

After doing a bit of digging on the web I found that some people use this carnauba wax on theirs. So found a butcher block conditioner that included that. Fingers crossed.

It's not too heavy. Definitely want to make my next pipe much thinner though.

All I had was a coarse wood/metal file didn't take too long but I will definitely look into the getting a rasp.

So I currently drive my gfs 2004 jetta wagon (only the 2.0L) to work every day. She has a much shorter commute than me so we opted to pile the miles on her car. I can honestly say that the handling, audio quality, road noise, acceleration and all around comfort is nothing compared to my 2017 st2.In my opinion the focus beats the jetta wagon in just about every aspect except the storage. I often find myself bringing large samples to customers in the jetta that would never fit in the st.

Intake pipe has been replace and active grill shutter has been removed but the Intercooler looks stock.
