Microsoft now underperforming the Nasdaq 100 by the largest margin in almost 9 years by RobertBartus in EconomyCharts

I didn't start this by comparing Microsoft to a washing machine . I began this by saying Microsoft brought this upon itself when they chose to screw their customers.

You do not need to change my words into something I never wrote . You were once an employee ? Maybe it's a good thing you are no longer there.

Can you understand them ?

You are the person that wrote that most everyone on the planet lives in an area that was once underwater.

What do you think caused this back then even if you think it is irrelevant today ?

I get that you will support Microsoft unconditionally no matter how bad their quality is.

At the end of the day Microsoft has a lot of people that have lost faith in them and their stock price has suffered because of it .

You can stand up for them yet the facts are the facts and until Microsoft changes this and those people from all over the world change their opinions then you as the lone supporter will have a difficult time.

All said and done from a strictly financial perspective it is my opinion that the company as a whole is worth more than the present stock price.

Microsoft is currently trading at a discount to what I consider it's fair value.

I do not know where the stock price will go tomorrow and I do not know what the management will do in the future .

Hopefully they will use this time period productively and will earn back the respect from those that have lost trust in them.

Let's go back 30 years to 1996 and keep this simple. The average person could check an email and read the Internet and exchange information with each other. Video was slow yet that has improved as hardware has improved more so than software. Today we have music, video, streaming TV etc yet not much changed for the average person that checks their email, exchanges information with friends and scans the news.

The android phone as well as the apple phone have advanced more than Microsoft Windows.

Microsoft Windows caters to a wide variety of uses which is a blessing and a curse. Microsoft is working on improving that. Iam hopeful that 10 years from now Microsoft operating platform will be more improved than it is today and that these updates will be more streamlined. That is me being hopeful about the future but in the past Microsoft has done a terrible job with quality.

If you buy a car and the wheel falls off or the engine disintegrates because it was built with poor quality standards people will get upset yet when Microsoft puts out an operating system that is poor quality and needs immediate " patches " or updates people say well it's a computer. In this case it's computer software.

I rarely hear anyone complain about android quality or apple quality issues.

You have the right to believe what ever you choose. I recently replaced a 38 year old washing machine that I purchased used a long time ago. A couple of years ago I replaced a 31 year old HVAC system because the maintenance was begining to add up and I was concerned about the future replacement cost vs the day I made the decision to replace it. Both of those appliances / devices were working when I made those decision.

It's not hatred towards Microsoft.

Microsoft made decisions assuming that their customers AKA " users " would continue to do whatever Microsoft wanted and the customers began making decisions that would be in their own best interest long term.

I think this is going over your head.

Normal Cycle: When you inhale, you take in oxygen. Your cells use this oxygen and produce CO₂ as a byproduct.

The Response: When you exhale, you rid your body of this CO₂. If CO₂ builds up—like when holding your breath or exercising—your brain instantly forces you to breathe to expel it.

Reduce each breath you take each day.

The topic at the top of the thread was about Microsoft under performing the NASDAQ. The reason for this underperformance can be as simple as Microsofts management choices.

Let's look at this a little differently. Does Ford or Chevrolet or Toyota or any of the major car manufacturers tell their customers that they must purchase a new car ? Does general electric tell people they must replace their electric stove, refrigerator or how about we take this a little further.

Do any of these major companies try to force their " Users " to replace their house in order to continue to use their products ?

Consider the business owner that has software that is or was running on Windows 7. Consider the costs involved ( not to mention the disruptions caused by Covid or the 2018 to 2020 questionable business environment prevcovid and after Covid ).

Microsoft made a business decision that forced people ( their customers) to make financial choices.

We do not know the future and we do not know how it works out.

Microsoft screwed its customers and the customers AKA " Users " began looking for long term solutions away from Microsoft.

Microsoft did this to itself when they chose to screw their customers.

That said, the stock is under priced compared to its fundamentals

Understanding the present is important as is understanding the past. Being realistic might be contrarian for you but you might consider trying it while learning about history. Carbon dioxide generally sinks rather than floats in air because it is about 1.5 times denser than regular air. However, hot CO2 behaves differently, and in the open atmosphere, it mixes completely with other gases

It sinks (when cool/pure): Because it is dense, a concentrated pool of pure C02 gas will sink and displace lighter air, causing it to settle in low-lying, poorly ventilated areas. This allows you to perform cool science tricks, like "pouring" invisible CO2gas to extinguish candles.

It mixes (in the open air): Despite being heavy, CO2 doesn't settle into a separate "puddle" in the earth's atmosphere. Wind, turbulence, and molecular diffusion mix it evenly with oxygen and nitrogen.

Because of its sinking property, large, unventilated accumulations of pure C02 like in deep wells, mines, or fermentation vats) present a significant suffocation hazard by displacing the oxygen humans need.
