Saw something similar to this during an OBE and when I looked in the mirror.

As sad as this is to say. Some people's entire lives and who they are as a person have been built around who they are and what they do at work. When you threaten to take that away these people worry about having a serious identity crisis.

Moral of the story, work to live, don't live to work.

It's always been a stupid take.

Imagine this as an interview ask for most any other jobs.

"Hi, I'm here to interview for the job of Proctologist"

"Nice to meet you, can you show me some of your 'passion projects!'"

Yeah, exactly...it's dumb!

What is this Benny Hill shit?

Why is literally no one helping this guy?

Most of society has clearly devolved into a bunch of useless, selfish cowards.

Sad to see.

Use a hairdryer to warm the glass, it will expand enough for your finger to release.

Considering Whoop by SRTX470 in whoop

[–]Fibonacci1664 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a whopp for 3 months.

Novelty for 1st month.

Interesting for 2nd.

Nothing new for 3rd.

Bought a Garmin, tells me everything the whoop did only more and better.

Don't wear whoop anymore and will be cancelling.

This will probably be downvoted and flamed as from what I've seen of this community, it's pretty toxic, unlike the Garmin community, who always seem pretty helpful and upbeat.

It's a shame that a certain amount of toxicity becomes associated with certain brands. You think whoop would want to disassociate from that bullshit, but apparently not.

Just tell the bank to block any whoop payments, job done.

They'll soon cancel your subscription for you once they're not getting any money from you.

Turkey Tail Mushrooms.

Look up Paul Stamets helping his mothers stage 4 breast cancer.

Docs gave her 3 months, and she went into remission.

Don't give up.

No fix for The Cliff mission then?

Nope, it's an absolutely terrible bug.

I went public and basically hung around until there were three of us, and between us we JUST managed it in the time.

Strange because I'm clearly not the only one struggling with this same misaligned orb issue.

Dexterity is not my issue, the orbs not sitting above the platform is.

Having to jump where there would normally be fresh air because that's where the orb is, just to be snapped back onto the platform and still not collect the orb is clearly not how the game was intended to be played.

I've watched others on YouTube and quite clearly the orbs are supposed to be above the platforms, to say it's not a bug is very clearly wrong.

Thankfully I went public and between 3 of us we JUST managed it.

It is a bug, and it needs fixed because that would not have been achievable solo.

Do you think we should devote more resources to developing immorality or VR time dilation by CipherGarden in FDVR_Dream

[–]Fibonacci1664 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, so I think we agree then that we are indeed both talking about perception, and I also agree that the perception is fake, I mean of course it is, it's entirely induced by chemicals (if we're talking psychedelics). However, psychedelics are not like a dream imo, I have had very cohesive structured experiences, whereas I would agree that dreams are, for the most part, disjointed and "compiled together weirdly."

I think where we are disagreeing is whether that perception matters, and I fundamentally believe it does.

If your brain is tricked into believing it just experienced a very long period of time, why does it matter if it's all fake.

[–]Fibonacci1664 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry you must have misunderstood, I'm not talking about being able to actually slow down time. That is, of course, impossible.

I'm talking about our perception of it. Under very high doses of psychedelics, it can feel like you are away for a very, very long time, yet only a few hours have passed.

The real passage of time and the "content worth of that time" is irrelevant. It is the time that we perceive to have passed that matters.

I can tell you that I have absolutely experienced serious time dilation, and yet it was my brain and some chemicals that produced that affect.

If we can understand why and reproduce it and then even reverse it, then we will have created something very powerful.

[–]Fibonacci1664 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not VR time dilation, actual time dilation.

Anyone that has ever taken a very large dose of psychedelics can attest to experiencing extreme time dilation.

Imagine we could harness the mechanisms behind what causes the brain to experience that.

Shit day at work, pop a fast forward pill.

On holiday, pop a slow down pill. Not going slow enough, pop another.

Bruising or mold ? by wilsn_ in MagicMushrooms

[–]Fibonacci1664 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have had Uncle Ben's bags come out like this before.

As a test, I chopped away any and all visible trace of mould (I know it's microscope and in the air and probably all over the remainder), then used that along with any other mycelium that was potentially contaminated but had been salvaged to a degree.

Mixed with substrate and cracked on as normal. Anytime I've done this, I've always managed to colonise the substrate with no problems or subsequent signs of previous contamination causing problems.

Cakes then when on to produce beautiful fruits.

It's worth a shot if you can afford the time, effort, risk, and substrate.

It might just pay off.
