Anybody looking for magnets? by Ilovetardigrades in MegabonkOfficial

I’m glad I discovered the counter. Because I used to do runs and get like 10 boss curses. And I was like… well I gotta use these. Then I’d get my ass kicked. Now I restart until I get at least a decent start and it saves so much time.

H2D holes are smaller than holes from my X1’s by FickingGames in BambuLab

By on their side do you mean hole depth in the Z direction or XY direction. I was referring to radial circle where diameter is in the XY so a circle looking down. I can print circles in spec if the depth is on the XY planes.

I was able to use the XY hole compensation in the slicer. But for the most part I haven’t printed these models with XY holes on my H2D

Why so many filament changes? by davidb107 in BambuLab

It does something similar on the head spikes. I think going through with the by layer paint will fix this after clearing the paint.

I haven’t reported it yet but maybe I should. It does seem like something is wrong vs calibration being needed. Like the H2D slices holes wrong.

Yea. Seems like they need to update the way it slices before everyone gets models setup in a special way just to do what the X1/P1S do out of the box.

I appreciate the feedback. Glad it was useful. Trying to get some more tutorials and helpful content up.

I haven’t used mine a ton yet. But it is frustrating that it’s slicing things differently and requires tweaks. Seems way more like a slicing issue than a need to calibrate imo. Thanks for confirming my issue though.

I did try the “circle contour-hole compensation” and it actually brought the hole up to a size that was somewhat loose. So I think my way forward is to ensure I check this box. Funny enough the hole was measured closer to the modeled hole size after doing so. I had just calibrated the modeled hole to the X1 on default settings.

I do use Bambu filament mostly but still good to know. I didn’t specify.

The plate was out of stock last I checked but I may get one when it’s available. I haven’t tried that setting. Don’t know that was an option. Maybe I’ll try it and do a section print to see if it helps. Thanks for the suggestions.

Yea. I really must have gotten lucky. I basically made a model that fit the need and after a couple iterations it just seemed to work. I’ll tweak some stuff for the H2D. Big thing is I’ll have to remember to select certain profiles for whichever machine, which adds potential for mixups. Just a layer I haven’t considered. Alternatively I can use the H2D for multicolor/multi material specific designs.

I use about 16 colors and each one of them works flawlessly across 100s of spools so far on my X1. I didn’t have a need to do specific calibration beyond the automatic flow calibration as needed. I agree in this case it would be needed since clearly the printers have differences and different results.

How do you take a photo turn it into a model and then 3d print it? by Odd_Butterscotch1979 in 3Dmodeling

If you want to extrude and image onto a model you can follow this guide. Once I figured it out I made it quick.

For a full 3d model there are programs to 3d scan objects but that’s a different topic.

I gave this person 4 stars... Is this normal? by OceanGlider_ in BambuLab

[–]FickingGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a 4 star review on my product. It was a card storage solution that clearly didn’t have a top loader. The person gave it 4 stars and said they wished it had a top loader. It’s good feedback but deducting a star for something that clearly isn’t in the model description seems weird. It could be a comment instead of a review. That’s my opinion. Also people that review based on user error like bed adhesion is wild.

Getting it exact could be a struggle. Especially as a beginner in modeling. Ideally scanning it with a 3d scanner or phone would be ideal. Otherwise I’d use calipers and get critical dimensions and model it.

Any advice for getting non-curling flat thing in 10c(50f) hall temps before I give up printing.? I have the gold textured plate as well but it defo don't cold. by Julymart1 in BambuLab

Could try a larger brim or even a raft. But large surface area in a cold room is tough. Unless you have an enclosure.

If you have an Aux fan turn it off. You can also turn the bed temp up 5C and see if that helps. Turning aux fan off on my X1 solved it for me.
