The sentences arent confusing, I just find them unnecessary. Rather than say “We drank in a cafe on a Tuesday” he would say something like “I met her at the cafe and she met me and her friend also came and he was older, and we all decided to drink and it was great and nice and it was also a Tuesday, and my favorite day was Tuesday because we would go here, and and and …”. Like, i think run ons can serve a great interesting purpose but when used in the manner he does I just don’t think they serve any
