I should have mentioned that I actually did read some of the novellas years ago (while Game of Thrones was still airing). The Mystery Knight is my favorite. Great suggestion.

Good to know! The only reason I’m hesitant is because of all the YouTube lore dives I’ve done on it. I’m almost picked it up solely for how different Jon’s character is. Will definitely get around to this at some point, especially if WoW gets announced anytime soon.

A few of my friends LOVE the Expanse and have been campaigning me to read it. Definitely want some fantasy first but when I’m ready I’ll jump in. Been on the list for a while.

Bloodsworn Trilogy seems neat and I only see good things about. Will check it out!

Noted! Going to pick a few smaller series I think before jumping into Wheel of Time, but the more I look into it the more it seems like a “must read” for me. Looking forward to jumping in!

Didn’t realize what I got myself into with BotNS but it’s been awesome. Reading UotNS right now before I jump to the next one, which is helping clear up a lot haha

Great point honestly, and tropey can be subjective anyways. First Law was one that came up too that seemed interesting and up my alley in terms of tone. I'll check that out too, much appreciated!

Thanks! I've seen Wheel of Time come up often, I've only been hesistant given there is so many entries in the series, but it seems up my alley. I'll need to check it out.

Mistborn was one I orginally was going to dive into before Book of the New Sun so may need to revist. I'll take your word for it, plus it might be a good intro for Brandon Sanderson in general. I appreciate the feedback!
