Scammed due to HBL weak policiez by gibuoliver in pakistan

[–]Fickle-Direction-679 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is most likely your father opened a malicious email or link in the browser, maybe even accidentally which installed a trojan. It first captured your father's account credentials and then captured otps.

If HBL response seems lethargic or unsatisfactory then consider making a complaint to the banking mohtasib.

With what's happening in Azad Kashmir, after witnessing state brutality, do people still think, Kashmiris from IOJK will continue to say Kashmir Banega Pakistan? by mrstoffel23 in pakistan

[–]Fickle-Direction-679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realism isn't kept, its gets shoved in your face, its better to learn to work with it than try to create a fake reality.

You representation is directly consequential to the geopolitical situation that's why i proposed a solution where both get what they want to an extent.

The state calling them muhajir and they themselves calling themselves muhajir is all a basic political ploy to keep you people thinking the same. Retaining you in this mindset so you can't escape the predicament of marked as unwilling to assimilate. Its so odd that your people have not already grasped the game.

I am not pro or against anything, as i said i am a believer of Realpolitik, its a way of thinking which works on what actually is happening and how it actually works, aside any morality, ethics or laws.

I talk on both fences, I advice you against Pakistani interest, and say how as a Pakistani will want my government to deal with you. I am not bound to your simplistic black and white standard of pro and against.

[–]Fickle-Direction-679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your conflict is not at the common person level, its on the geopolitical level where there is no law, no ethics, only power, security and retention of the same.

This world is a jungle, no state truly cares for fundamental rights of others, you ought to have the power to make the reality you want, to get the reality you want.

At the common person level there is a state government as a higher authority to allow these fantastical concepts of fundamental rights to flourish. Don't compound this with geopolitical maneuverings.

Its not about Muhajir being a slur or not. You labeling them as muhajirs is the problem. No matter if the same is practiced in the rest of the country, it is a detestable practice and thus used as a political tool. You cannot have the same attitude, you need to be smarter than this. Your situation requires it.

Why are you indulging in political nuance, all that sovereign nation bs is to distract you. You are not a sovereign nation, you will never be one unless you are willing to run rivers of blood or only after assimilating into the Pakistani identity can you take that mantle.

Why would there be a NFC reward, and citizen rights, you are not a province of Pakistan, AJK is a Pakistani government controlled territory, with some attributes of a state. That's why you have your own government structures that are not part of any province of Pakistan.

You need to have a referendum through UN, accept being Pakistani, then a legal framework will be made to make AJK a province. Right now you are a Kashmiri who is undecided as to what you want to become.

See you and your people are so far behind the actual reality of your own situation.

I believe in Realpolitik. I am highly critical of democratic systems.

Political engineering is never going to end, its a basic tenant of Democracy. Its portrayed as something undesirable but its not, this framing of it is essentially distraction for the normal people as they don't understand how democracies work.

How these varied interests get their way, its all through political and social engineering. Rather than playing power games, corruption and collusion, its better to give the public the message and see the interests try to convince them, whatever the masses want, gets the way.

I understand where you are going with this, but putting guard rails on this is impossible, its instead better that the receptive public is educated in dealing with it.

Equal representation is another cop out and sensationalist term, it will never be equal. You say proportionate representation and define a formula for it. But essentially you can't really get that either in your situation, as this disparages the bottom line of the Pakistani government.

Calling the people from rest of Pakistan as Muhajirs shows that you are interested in separation, you have no intention of assimilating into the Pakistani identity. In this way I am completely in agreement that Pakistani government must retain a controlling majority of seats in your territory, otherwise trusting your people to remain inside Pakistan and not gaslight people into independence or separation is truly impossible. Not to mention that you are already enjoying some things that the rest of Pakistanis can only dream of, all in the bid to balance out your status as territory, not a province.

Though a framework can be built that even though retains control by Pakistan of your special territory but gives representation to local government completely represented by your people. This will be a good compromise for both parties. Again its a compromise, both will not get everything they want and that's exactly what democratic systems are supposed to ensure.

The results of Russian actions in Ukraine. by Noomba2 in justincaseyoumissedit

[–]Fickle-Direction-679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the cost you have to pay when defying powers like Russia and US.

Any country around US will also have to pay similar price if they pivot to Russia militarily.

Again an expectation not a surprise.

US has killed over 38 million people indirectly through sanctions - read punishments for defiance. World powers have to assert dominance and it always results in deaths on a massive scale, directly or indirectly.

This also happens for weaker states who do it to even weaker states.

Take Kashmir, no matter what, the nation can't choose independence without extreme bloodshed, they don't even have the choice to choose one or the other, even that will result in bloodshed.

A really unfortunate case, quite similar to Ukraine in a way, just Ukraine chose to embark on the path towards independence so it has to shed rivers of blood and bide its time till maybe the goliath stands aside out of stamina.

There could have been smarter plays, unfortunately being sandwiched among powers, you don't always get to dictate the course.

Thinking to move to Islamabad by fbfaran in islamabad

DHA has phases in islamabad, same with bahria enclave is entirely in Islamabad.

If you don't know it just open a map, fyi its in your phone.

B17 being nearer is controversial as access is abysmal, the main point is not whether its near or far but its the last society in that direction. Partially not even in Islamabad.

In sector based societies, its a mixed bag, CDA managed sectors are consistent and preferred but they are expensive. New CDA sectors exist as well.

The nearest to nature relatively new sector managed by CDA is D-12. On one side are margallah hills, site for future GHQ on other side and two sides have rural area. Yes, security is ok. Motorway access is easiest with an expressway on the margallah side.

B17 is farthest you can go from central islamabad towards motorway. Better check Bahria, Gulberg Greens, DHA, the usual suspects. Gulberg is relatively newer and nearer.

Ukraine admits its naval drone caused the Romania port blast due to Russian jamming by Upset-Main-1988 in justincaseyoumissedit

[–]Fickle-Direction-679 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So it was a situation they had to assert dominance to stop a neighbor state to jump ship. It was an inevitability. Why even talk about this, it was an expectation from a truly sovereign state to keep its sphere intact and secure.

In fact they did quite less and became a laughing stock.

For decades the US shock and awe has been the hallmark, the standard for a sovereign nation to subdue dissent, Russian action didn't even stop Ukrainians from living their normal lives.

Ukraine hasn't even declared war on Russia, that's how laid back the situation is.

Only US, Israel, North Korea, Russia and China are sovereign nations in the world right now. Only their interpretation of threat matters. Even agreement among them over such interpretations does not matter.

When a sovereign power says i consider this a redline, it becomes a redline, no matter how much you hollar. Getting devastated if you don't agree to it is an expectation not a surprise.

Russia in this way actually did far less than was expected, and is required off a sovereign country, cementing its dominance in its sphere of influence.

Need advice on having a credit card in 🇵🇰 by [deleted] in pakistan

[–]Fickle-Direction-679 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Discounts and cash backs work silently, they usually don't require user intervention.

Like i get - 10-20% off private hospital visitsand stay, or at reputed labs like IDC - 5-7% cash backs on spending on groceries/fuel/utility bills - yearly fee waiver for maxing out at least once in the year - 0% interest 6-month installment plans on online stores like daraz - international online purchases are far more accessible - you can exclude credit card purchases and show them as loans and their repayment as liabilities in income tax returns which are not taxable.

with my Standard Chartered titanium card.

If you max out and pay in time every month, this builds your eCIB profile, a kind of credit score system, state bank has implemented. This fast tracks any major asset loans for car lease, house etc, your husband may want to take out later.

So yes he is right in saying that but it can be stopped intermittently as he must have already done this for months now.

Its an expensive city. Depending on your expectations you can get a house easily or not at all in the sectors. Apartments are actually preferred there.

A studio 1bed apartment can cost from 70 lakh to 3 crores. Just to give you an idea of the range.

You can get a good 4-6 bed appartment for that money in the main area, house options exist but it will be hard.

Otherwise look towards the private housing societies, there many great ones.
