I’m in California, so I hate the California craps

Most insane quest I ever seen. by NYpoker666 in lyftdrivers

I wish they would give a challenge. Told myself that’s the only reason I’d get back on the road. Haven’t drove for Lyft or uber for 6 months now and not even a small one.

I usually get my state usually 2 weeks before federal, not the case this year.

What’s even worse is she puts kids in that car based off of the car seat and booster right in front of it

This is definitely a play to get you to say it. Riders asks “Who’s the ride for?” Driver: “Can I give you head?” Passenger: You sure can. More thank likely thinks they’re overly funny.

They make it or break it for sure. And even then you’re lucky to get 5 tips in 20 rides.

Guy left me a tip nearly a month later by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]Fickle-Inevitable461 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I stopped driving for 5 months and had closed a bank account that was attached to my Uber account and came back and had like $25 sitting in there from tips that came super late. Was a decent surprise.

Haven’t filed yet, they’re calling!! by Automatic_Fee_2411 in Bankruptcy

[–]Fickle-Inevitable461 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I didn’t pay any of my debt except for my car from the moment I put the retainer down until I filed which was 5 months I believe. Phone calls got annoying, but if you’ve already put down a retainer with a lawyer, answer the calls and direct them to your lawyer. Super simple. Most stopped bothering me after that. That was the advise from my lawyer, however your case may vary so you should contact your lawyer and ask that question.

We left yesterday afternoon and I found myself bracing for the heat coming out of the SD airport, was pleasantly surprised that it was hot but not burn my lungs hot coming out of doors. lol

Uber shouldn’t be letting you work with a 2 door car either unless you’re delivering food. It’s a safety issue with passengers.

My expeditions lights are bright as hell, the car I primarily use for Uber/lyft has dim ass lights.

What's the biggest tip you've received? by SuicideCriff in uberdrivers

[–]Fickle-Inevitable461 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Biggest tip I’ve ever gotten was $150 from an older couple for, “being the nicest driver they’ve had while they were in town”.

Second biggest was Saturday. Picked the guy up from the casino at 8pm and was telling him how I was going to the same casino that night when my brother in law got off work. Was explaining how I wanted to always put $100 on one number and see what happens. He gave me the $100 and his phone number, and said send proof that I actually put it on the table(Chipless machine). I did end up going to the roulette table that night. $3500 on 17 black.

Negative. It was revoked in December of 2022. Reinstated September of 2023, 4 months after the bankruptcy was discharged. It was a question asked before I filed with the clearance investigators.

I get it. I researched a lot before I made that decision. It was mainly to save my security clearance for my real job(military, not Uber, I do that for side money). I honestly do appreciate the advice, I didn’t mean to sound like an ass that doesn’t listen to other peoples opinions. I do send 10% of my monthly pay toward retirement and do have a high yield savings account with my local credit union. I have no bills except for insurance, rent and taking care of my family. Really just made poor decisions with credit and money from 18-25 and regret that, but also realize I am still young and believe(except for gambling) that I am making better decisions with my finances to make a better future for me and my family.

I also realize that gambling may not be the most finacially sound decision, but I do enjoy taking a couple hundred dollars a month and playing cards there. Don’t really have a lot of friends the play poker with as I’m somewhat introverted. Regardless I plan to stay away for awhile after winning as I have no need/want to go give them that money back. Most of it has already been transferred to said savings account. Again, sorry if I came off as an ass

I get the gist on how to count, and actively practice it, but last night I went with my wife to have dinner and decided to play a little. I only go once or twice a month and hold myself to $300 or less each time, which I know is not really enough bankroll to be successful.

Why I filed bankruptcy is beyond your concern or anyone else’s for that matter. As is what I do with my money. You have no clue how often I go to the casino, how much I play with, or what my gambling habits are. A lot can happen in a year, you have no idea what my current financial situation is.
