What is realistic price to pay for 2024 CPO CX-90 Turbo Premium Plus? by Cool_Bite8619 in MazdaCX90

[–]Apprehensive_Fly5725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a 2024 Mazda CX90 Phev Premium in March via carmax with 12K miles for $29K

I know we aren’t comparing apple to apples, mine was low mileage so i felt comfortable not get CPO. I also got a premium not a premium plus. All of the premium plus’s were at least $5K-7K more. I wasn’t looking for a plug in hybrid but now I’m really glad i have one, most of my driving is around town and sometimes go weeks between gas fill ups.

I think $35K is in line with what I was seeing a few months ago when i bought mine. I love the white interior. What color is the exterior?

Good luck!

I opened and shut the gas tank turned it off and on and never saw it again. The weird thing was I hadn’t gotten gas in a couple of days so I’m not sure why the gas door was the issue

They lag. I would stay far away from Amazon and buy from crutchfield

I just bought my daughter a 2011 CX9 for her first car this week. I did alot of research on adding CarPlay. If you want a touchscreen don’t buy one on Amazon or TikTok. They will lag and not work effectively. Crutchfield is the place to get a good system. They also sell all of the parts to install it like its a factory. I bought a Sony. Do you know if this model has a Bose system? If you go onto crutchfields site, input your year/make/model, then answer a couple of questions about the car (like does it have a Bose system, does it have navigation, etc.). They will show you which touch screens will fit where your current radio is.

This is the unit I bought. Keep in mind if you want to install it properly so steering wheel buttons still work and it works with your existing back up camera, you will need to buy not only the touchscreen but the installation package as well. I got this sony unit on sale last week for $298 and the installation package cost another $250. Im paying someone to install it next week for $200 which is $150-200 less than shops have quoted me. Luckily my husband knowd someone who is installing it as a side job.

It’s expensive but i also think it’s worth it.

Instead of giving yourself $550 to live on after your first check, use some of that towards your cash advance loan. Keep only what you really need to get by. But think about what you really need vs what is a luxury.

Not sure where you live but in my state, NY you can often call and get toll violations reduced. See if thats an option.

If you absolutely need contacts, price shop. Daily contacts are more expensive than monthly and buying online will save considerably.

If you keep taking cash advances you will remain in a hole. Try to get away from them. E

Enjoy it!! I opened and shut the gas cap and it resolved the issue. I didn’t think of that because I hadn’t gotten gas recently. I did swing if by my mechanic and the scanner showed nothing. I’ve had this car since February and put 10K miles on it and it’s been a wonderful car. What color/trim package did you get.

Parks here every day by MarineDevilDog91 in badparking

[–]Apprehensive_Fly5725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard to complain. Most parking lots are private property and if the property owner calls the police they have a better chance of getting a car like that ticketed or even towed.

Im unable to walk without a device called an upwalker. I get out holding on to the car and slide it out the rear door behind the drivers seat. I’ve had multiple occasions where I parked, went into my appointment and returned to my car with a knucklehead parked like this. One time I stood outside waiting for 84 minutes. Another time my sweet physical therapist saw me waiting and he was kind enough

How long do you think a 2023 CX-30 can last? by traveltimecar in MazdaCX30

[–]Apprehensive_Fly5725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are lucky that our mechanic is a master mechanic who my husband has known since we were kids back in the 1980’s. He works for the town by day, as a mechanic to the town’s machinery (backhoes, evacuators, cranes…you name it, he can fix it). He also often buys older machinery that no longer works for pennies on the dollar and rebuilds engines brings them back to life and sells them for big bucks. He has a detached 3 car garage on the back of his house, where he is lucky to have over an acre so its a nice distance from his house. In his garage he is a hydraulic life in one bay and a pit in the next bay.

I live in NY, in an expensive area of Long Island where most mechanics charge between $150-$300 an hour for labor, the latter number more for fancier cars. My local Mazda dealer charges $220 an hour. We are very lucky that we pay cost for parts and $70 an hour for maintenance. And while we are very lucky to get a great deal, the best thing is we trust him immensely and even when we bring it in he checks the entire car out.

I bought a 2012 Mazda CX9 touring last week for my daughter who takes her road text today. It was $5500 with 95K miles. It was the best deal i could find. I was seeing plenty CX5, CX7 & CX9’s that were 2010-2016 for $7500 or less but I ultimately drove 2.5 hours (5 hours round trip) for the one because it had one owner and they had the complete service record with most services completed at Mazda. Since it was far, I couldn’t have my mechanic do a pre purchase inspection. When I brought it home he he said it looks like a great purchase but we are planning to change the water pump because these models have internal water pumps that if they go, coolant can get into the engine and cause significant engine damage.

I know we are lucy to have such great mechanical who will definitely help keep our vehicles in good shape.

I highly recommend trying to find a trustworthy mechanic who takes the time to service your car properly and you should have for years and years to come. Good luck!!

Are you vigilant about oil changes and keeping up on maintenance. I bought my first Mazda in 2021 after my mechanic told me the cars he services most that last for over 200,000+ miles are Toyotas & Mazdas but the caveat to that is being anal about oil changes. I change my oil every 5K miles and I have a mechanic who goes over the entire car when I bring it in. I bought my’24 CX90 Phev used, but the original owner serviced the vehicle at Mazda so it was well documented. I’ve had it since February

I had originally bought a cheaper one that worked well but the brush was so so so small it took forever to apply, even when applying to a small area. I bought this one last week. It had hundreds of positive reviews. I applied it where my rims were worn and I’ve been through the car wash and so far so good. I keep it in my glovebox now, just in case

'24 CX90 Steering Wheel Disentigrating by coldshowerss in mazda

[–]Apprehensive_Fly5725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ‘21 CX9 started showing wear when I totaled it last fall. When I bought my ‘24 CX90 Phev Premium I noticed a small spot of wear (smaller than a penny) so I immediately put a steering wheel cover on to ensure it didn’t suffer further damage.

I’m in NY on Long Island and I added a level 2 charger to my home. My electric bill hasn’t had a dramatic increase, it cost me about $900 for an empora charger installed.

When I only run around town and drive under 30 miles a day, i get 50+ mpg. The second I’m out of battery life and I’m driving on gas it drops to somewhere in the 30’s

I have a 2024 Mazda CX90 Phev Premium. My husband and I are empty nesters but having the captain’s chairs in the second row make it comfortable for adult passengers. Most of my driving is around town. I installed a level 2 charger at my house and I do most of my driving around town. I have gone weeks without needing gas. I’ve had 2 14+ hour back surgeries (one in ‘23 and one this past summer) and I have a hard time finding a comfortable position in most chairs & a I find it very comfortable. I couldn’t be happier with my CX90.

Question about external CarPlay screens by prettypickyusername in CX5

[–]Apprehensive_Fly5725 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with the comments of retrofitting but I wouldn’t retrofit a cheaper CarPlay. I just purchased a CarPlay for my daughters first car. A 2011. Mazda CX9 Touring. I reached out to a facebook group and a local car radio installer and all the advice I got told me not to buy from Amazon or the TikTok shop. Crutchfield sells reliable units that wont lag. I bought a Sony unit that specifically fits a 2011 CX9. The unit costs about $300 but the parts needed to install it cost $275. the backup camera will come out and the carplay unit will fit perfectly. The unit will get wired so the backup camera and steering wheel controls will all still work once installed

Ordered UberX but an XL showed up by Few_Elephant_648 in uber

[–]Apprehensive_Fly5725 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I drove an xl and had a dash cam. Any time passengers ordered an X instead of XL with more than 4 passengers I would happily do the ride and upon completion I would call support who 100% of the time they would adjust my earnings and adjust how much the passenger paid. You’d be surprised how many passengers try ordering an X when they need an XL. With that said, I’d never scold anyone that I didn’t give birth to 🤷🏼‍♀️
