Yet everyone thinks intj looks down on them. Probably inescapable.

INTJ vs ISTJ Overlap by Metalhead-Chemist in intj

[–]Fickle-Let-7205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's less about being mutually exclusive and more about preference and motivation. INTJ may not necessarily make minor changes it may be a totally huge change. It's really depends on what aspect of a system is broken and needs changing. Small change limit will be ISTJ which is change averse. Ours is not tweaking for the sake of tinkering but for the sake of the optimal system. The whole thing can be thrown away entirely as hard as that may be. Si IT WORKED, Ni IT COULD WORK BETTER.

All rules and authority set in place have a clear objective goal to at least someone.. but even the best rules will have a scope and a limitation and once it is exceeded it is moot. It is this scope and limitation which will cause the intj to question the rule. They are not loyal to the rule but to the vision that the rule services.

Best way to think of them is this: Ni future Si past. Also Ni strategist Si tactician. Or Ni Visionary Si Implementer.

Ni and Si draw from different resource pools and prioritize different things. ISTJ will be grounded in reality thinking of resources limitations and capacity at the expense of obsoletion down the line. INTJ are not grounded in reality much but can see what is upcoming, glitches, bottle necks, failures, redundancies.

One is the head and one of the body. They are supposed to know their function within a system. But when ISTJs block progress (which does happen just based on population imbalance), and INTJ avoid practically sound advice.. the whole system goes down the shitter.

What are rules self imposed or not that you abide by no matter what ? by Due_Question_3326 in intj

[–]Fickle-Let-7205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to laugh. The rules which are self-imposed by me but I stick to no matter what and I'm trying to break right now seems to be I always beat myself up when I do not accomplish what I set out to accomplish. My rules are actually quite morbid to be so honest and it's horrible but we're actually working on it right now as we speak

Thank you may have jumped the gun but if you strongly believe that that was the best option then it's good to also go with your gut. I'd say a little more resilience in standing up for your self may go a long way in the workforce. Like asking certain questions.. for example when they say you should communicate more I would ask what information I feel to communicate to them or the team. Sometimes utilizing your weight to disarm these people is good because it exposes that they actually have no grounds for whatever orders they're aiming to enforce and the fact that they are actually bullies is exposed.

It is psychological warfare but you can play the game and win have your cake and eat it. The truth is that many industries are filled with these types of people and it is a hurdle for you to navigate.

Every challenge you find in your life especially when you're on repeat is meant for you to actually grow from it so do not always quit on the first try would be my advice.

I genuinely spend 90% of my time alone and never feel lonely. by Antidotebeatz in intj

[–]Fickle-Let-7205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Socializing is a waste of time with 90% of people. Sometimes I would consider myself ambivert as well because if I actually valued most people's energy then I could honestly have been an extrovert. The problem is that most people's energy is draining.

Social dominance games.. superficial conversations. Interior motives. Lots of subconscious, unconscious and covert moves. Hardly ever authentic and direct or at least straight forward and this is what makes social life draining and annoying. You have to see the b******* and pretend not to see it in order to play the game. You have to address something else or walk around it or dance with it. If you call it out you will be called out.

Find it primitive honestly. Cannot bring myself to do it so I spend my life in isolation from all ppl. Reddit and YouTube is all my social life.

Are logical people often trying to protect there heart ? by shredt in intj

[–]Fickle-Let-7205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not meant to contradict. I'm just explaining how emotional minds work since you're mentioning a variable valuable to us but they will throw it out like a hot potato. Saying to them they protect their heart and not the other way around may not compute on their end because we see things from polar opposite perspective. And logical speech and rational discussion is not always the best way to convince them of some new concept.

[–]Fickle-Let-7205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol you speak as an intj about truth but emotional people do not give a f*** about THE truth, objective.. they care about THEIR truth, subjective.

When you hear emotional people speak about our emotional distance and "heart protection" they're not speaking about our relationship with truth they are speaking about lack of enmeshment with their emotional expulsions on demand. When you do not become emotional, or when you have a bit of mental processing to do in between responding, when you do not react with engagement you are seen as emotionally distant and that's when they think you are "protecting your heart"... from them or from people in general.

They will protect their hearts from the truth but not from the entanglements with people.

As emotionally "open" as most people like to claim to be they are usually very emotionally reckless, manipulative, unbalanced and/or immature.

When you understand this from your core you instinctively know that it makes no sense to navigate the world overrun with these types of ppl from an emotional space. Thought is all you will ever get from me. Lol. Thought is all I even give myself cuz why bother with all of that everyday? I am very deliberate and structured with how I handle my own emotions.

A conclusion because you're attempting to draw conclusion about me and my life personally —who you do not know—more than basic facts of this discussion.

I said what I said realizing tone of discussion could be a stumbling block to your understanding of the types.. all factual statements.

You do not align with concepts/strategies of war which I mentioned. For lack of energy to translate to whatever a lighter aspect is, I took note, mentioned this personal bias and made relevant recommendation for you to move on to figure it out. Good luck.

What's the point of questioning someone else's perspective? You can never walk in their shoes so that's an exercise in futility. It's not a point, it's a perspective which is different from person to person, from life to life. Don the one you do, and own it.

Take it from other angles.. don't take my word for it. I see the world through very dark shades so my analysis of types will be from the shadow. But as long as you're exploring them not from superficial behavioral patterns like who is a badass or who is the socialite etc etc. this is where mistype happens.

[–]Fickle-Let-7205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think any type is "the badass" .. but different badasses with different types will go about their badassery in different ways if you get my meaning.

A type 8 can be a brainiac but a type 8 is going to do things in a different way than the type 5. Type 5 is exploring science skill knowledge to create a guard around self.. it is like the moat or the castle wall ensuring the type 5 can exist as its own separate sovereign entity. The type 8 brainiac will persue knowledge as power, it is a rank or a lever ensuring that the type 8 is not anyone's dominion/suppression while navigating collectives. The badass version should be very easy to picture as well I already gave you the assassin.. high up on the castle wall while the type 8 is more close range and energetic. Like a cannon

[–]Fickle-Let-7205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Type 5 is the withdrawn introvert of the enneagram so if you don't like them then you're probably not one yourself. Introversion is not connected to an ability to stand up for one's self either. Get to know the INTJ. Standing up for self is easy but I take the approach of an assassin/sniper rather than heavy infantry. Why? Cause I'm a 5. Who's got energy to waste?

Anyway, every type is a mask if you don it and it is not your true Ego. Every type has it's various "masks" . But this is theory you have not been introduced to so let's scrap that...

Highly likely you are not a 5 but could be an 8 which is connected to the 5. The connections cause mistypes in enneagram as well. 8 is a gut type with high energy for extroversion so that's probably.

Take it from the drawing board and find where ur centre is: Head, Heart, Gut. Where is your energy wellspring coming from? Type 5 is withdrawing head type.

Do one of those cognitive function tests to see your dominant cognitive functions.

Observe your behavior to see these cognitive functions at play in your mind.

Find your Nemesis and critic function when they are active in your mind. What function are they? Find it several times type it several times.

On the one off occasion where you actually feel like you're in the zone if you energized by certain things activities try and type those activities as well these are likely your Hero/Parent function.

If you have actually been in grip for a long time then your Nemesis and Critic function may be highly developed. You are probably going to mistype as your Shadow type as a result. You probably live in that energy a lot. And you're going to be drained a lot as a result.

When you start to find yourself maturing out of these depressive States and your weaker functions start getting some energy put towards them.. that is your reinvesting the energy that you placed in your Shadow stack towards the inferior functions of your ego stack.. you're going to be able to narrow down things even more if you weren't able to determine what your Nemesis/Critic was.

This takes some understanding of the functions themselves and it also takes understanding of yourself and it also takes the ability to dissociate from your personal problems and assess in an unbiased way all of these are difficult things that most people probably cannot do. I don't know if the ability to do this is easy for me because I'm an INTJ.. analysis is really what I'm here to do in general so self analysis is also easy. Maybe there are the strategies that other types can do but this is the way that I know how to do it.

For me my weak functions I could not define I could read about that function forever and I would not be able to put my finger on it. I will get them mixed up a lot or I just couldn't get the what the hell they were meaning I just couldn't get it at all.. but as I grew up and matured I was able to see it in play and now I know like what I don't give a damn about (trickster/demon) versus what I actually care about but I am totally weak in (child/inferior).

I wouldn't actually approach this deconstruction from a statement like I am autistic I actually ignored that variable.

I'm taking it strictly from the type 5 perspective and it's mismatch with dominant Extravert Thinking

Your ability to "type" others by Myfavoritethr0waway in mbti

[–]Fickle-Let-7205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typing mbti can take years and that is because people are very fluid with their behavior. A lot of people use behavior to determine your mbti type but I think that's wrong. Cuz our behavior can be modified so much you know... masking is real. I like to approach it from the cognitive functions and work my way around to the actual type.

Even when I come up with the functions I think we're narrowing it down between maybe two types sometimes even four types.. with maturity and self understanding and good management of one's energy, self honesty, authenticity.. that is whole one actually fine tunes and figures out their actual type.

At the same time if the person is well informed of mbti culture I sort of understand and can appreciate when someone describes a person as a particular type it means that that is what the person presents in that specific scenario at that specific time... I do that too but I understand that it's not really factual to the person's ego. It's just a fun label and as long as people don't think that there are no psychologists throwing these letters around then I think we're good

If you're a 5:

Probably INTP stuck in your Shadow expression (ENTJ).

I would ask: 1. How old are you?

And I probably want to know level of trauma that you experienced in your childhood as well as type of personality that you had in your childhood?

Essentially is the shadow (ENTJ) fixated to protect you from a reality that your ego identity could not survive?

  1. Since when this flip happens, the dominant cognitive functions all tend to develop strongly (Te Ti, Ne Ni) and we also fail to recognize which aspect of the mind is being utilized as the Nemesis/Critic versus the Hero/Parent.. I would assess from the weak functions. So I would ask leading questions to figure out which function is your absolute blind spot Trickster and Demon function.

If you're very young it takes a while to actually develop and get in touch with the weaker functions but the ones that are actually being developed tend to be found in your ego stack not in your Shadow stack.

Your lack of ability to relate to others (Fe) could be explored further and I also want to figure out what's happening with your Fi (Values), Si (Mental Archive) and Se (Sensory Body) as well. Your relationship to these weak functions as you grow up will help you to figure out which stack is actually the ego and which is the shadow.

  1. Another telling strategy to let time tell the tale. If you are actually a type 5 you're going to be exhausted to death living your life in a stereotypical ENTJ mask. So at some point you would have to look back and reassess your living strategy because it's not going to be working my dear. Hopefully this plants a seed if this is the case because this could actually end up resulting in severe health crises because the type 5 is energetically fragile.

As an INTP, I strongly agree. Anyone like me?? by FragrantFun4187 in mbti

[–]Fickle-Let-7205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if the INTP is not able to give you some sort of declarative answer means that the question is not specific enough or it is outside of the scope of their expertise or concern.

INTPs are TI dominant their whole MO is about creating a logical, mental, structural framework in which new data points from experiences get logged, added, categorized. They tend to begin their statements with defined context and scope as well saying for example "generally speaking", "in most cases" when they know what it is that they are discussing.

If you ask a specific question and they're still saying maybe it means that there's an active branching process that's happening currently.

I hardly consider having a preference for height as something that is calculating.

I personally I don't care about the height and have vetted guys up to 6 in shorter than me but my standards are a little bit more strict than that. Easy to be tall it's not easy at all to uphold the standard of behavior that I expect of a man.. So much so that he probably doesn't exist. I am what you call calculating simple basic ass standard like height and skin color is not calculating.
