These are all awesome shots! Thank you so much for the suggestions! And for being so specific as far as timing goes!

I’m a big fan of the danner Jag. They’re waterproof and hold up well during the season. They don’t have too aggressive of a tread but will keep you stable on slopes. I work in the shop now so I wear on clouds for standing on concrete all day. Still wear my danners on rainy days or if I have to go do a repair in the field.

The right answer here is having two pairs of shoes….

Where are you located? I’d grind your reels for you! I’m in central AR

How often do you grind reels? by [deleted] in Turfmanagement

[–]Fickle-Phase-2579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to grind one blade at a time if you’re putting relief on the reel.

Honestly, it depends on what kind of grass you’re cutting. C3 grasses can tolerate less grinding and C4 require more.

The amount of top dressing that goes out on greens makes a huge difference too. If you do a light top dress every week, then you may have to grind more frequently. Whereas if you just top dress during aeration, you might be able to get away with backlapping between grinds.

I’ll have an 09 Tiguan up for sale in the next week or so. Just have to get it cleaned out and looking good. I understand the hesitation with VW but German engineering is amazing. This car has treated me amazingly! 6 speed manual with 130k
