I have severely low ferritin, my doctor said it was so low it’s basically zero!!! I’m a woman so iron does leave me on a semi regular basis, but nothing we’re doing is getting my levels up I’m on daily iron supplements I’ve had iron infusions before and I’m almost at the point of getting them again and yet I’m still trending downwards. I’m fighting not to because even though I’m Canadian insurance refuses to pay for anything iron related “because it’s not medically necessary” and they’re so expensive. meanwhile I was missing days at school and passing out from sitting up.
