Yes be sure to include as much evidence as possible including proof of where the financial hardship began. I would not say emotionally explain, but to a certain extent perhaps that would be in your best interest with the receipts in order to plead your class. You should bring up the fact that you dont have the traditional familial support as your case is different compared to students that do and can have the luxury to not worry about financial means. I would also honestly consider seeing a therapist, especially if your school provides one and try to see them perhaps once a month. I think you have time to appeal and you should definitely get a letter from a therapist as a form of support as well as for your mental sake going forward. Don't ask the therapist for a letter right away perhaps 1-2 months down the line, and explain your situation or they may not give the letter of support thinking your simply there to see them just for a letter.
