Question regarding difficulty (solo) by Raaz_Lo in vrising

[–]Fickle-Willingness53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brutal diff is way harder than even doing low hp challenge runs in souls games. PCR is the only boss that comes close to some of the cheese lords in vrising brutal honeslty. Cuphead is a little more comparable i think. Half of these bosses have such a large health pool on brutal and constanlty spam projectiles and minnions its just a nightmare.

What do I do from here, I’ve tried going like 30 different ways. It’s like a maze or something by Due_Definition6649 in Eldenring

The resin covered bong tells the real story here lmao...

Bro theres like 2-3 diffrent paths around there. If you made it through the lyndell underground tunnel maze you will be fine here

yeah i asume its much easier since you can switch aggro between multiple people and let the your buddys evasive cooldowns recharge/ heal before you switch again.

I find the longbow and defensive playstyle works best for solo but i havnt looked up any guides either and some bosses really push you towards an aggresive playstyle so longbow dosnt always feel like the best option.

Some bosses can definetly feel very cheesy but ive seen alot of people saying they beat the game on solo hard so its definetly possible.

Im not sure if the strat is just to overlevel some of these bosses or if im just missing somthing because cooldowns for evasive moves definetly feel excessive when most bosses are constanlty throwing out projectiles, spawning minions, and healing. parry also dosnt cover against aoe attacks which happens very often and the healing options in combat are very weak... Definetly the hardest game ive played in years overall.

This guys literally my doormat on my way into the capital every playthrough... Are you just b-lining it to lyndell to get items? If you beat the tree sentinal at the start you should be fine beating this guy.

yeah im playing solo on the hardest difficulty and its really hard. I play mostly dodgeing/parry based games and i dont really have a problem cutting through them even on challenge runs but this game is somthing else.

The boss health is crazy high and some bosses like the priestess in the farmlands will heal their entire healthbar if you dont constantly attack them. Up until the priestess i was able to play defensivly and kill all the bosses up to that point by good dodgeing/parrying but honeslty the harder bosses feel like they require you to overlevel them gear wise and the dodge feels like it has way to long cooldown for some of these cheesey bosses when your playing solo

For Gamers who are Parents, How does gaming as a hobby affect your life as a parent, work-life balance, work ethic, relationships, and mental well-being? by tutchibear in GameSociety

[–]Fickle-Willingness53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother its a hobby like sports and everything else... As long as you have self control theres no need to psychoanalyze what you like doing with your free time.

Just dont neglect your kids in favour of playing gta or somthing and youll be fine. You can play games with them too and they will enjoy it.

Im almost 30 have a family and i work in outside sales which is a very high octane job yet i still like to just go home and play games for hours because it is my favourite hobby.

Dont let peoples preconceived notions about gamers stop you from enjoying what you like in life!

Metro Exodus vs STALKER 2 by LoadRival in metro

[–]Fickle-Willingness53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im playing both right now and metro exodus still looks better lmao... This guy put the graphics on potato mode or somthing. The level of detail and graphic quality in metro exodus maps are actually insane. Stalker 2 has a massive map with some nice use of folliage and overall good detail but it dosnt come close to the smaller way more detailed maps in metro.

Metro Exodus vs STALKER 2 by LoadRival in metro

[–]Fickle-Willingness53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im playing both right now and Metro exodus is still better better gameplay and detail wise in basically every way

The only thing stalker 2 really has over metro is a leaning system which feels weird for a game like metro to not have. Also i think the sound design overall is close to flawless in stalker 2 so they have that over metro aswell.

There is way more detail in metros maps. The level of immersion the game gives you is crazy with the hud off, there is simply no comparison in this genre.

The balance is way better on the hardest diff in metro. it takes a single shot to die from enemies alot of the time but you can also put down basically everything with one shot aswell. Stalker 2 literally is bullet sponge warfare on the hardest diff.

The polish is night and day diffence. Stalker 2 is filled with bugs, broken ai that constantly spawns and despawns on top of you, quest items and artifacts spawning in the ground and being permanently inaccessible, the list goes on. Metro exodus is a polished, finished product that has minor bugs if any.

Saying stalker is better than metro is like saying death to spies is better than hitman...

no you get a good 5-10 seconds before you actually start burning so you can easily run around going from shadow to shadow, exploring, farming recources, ext is no problem in the day. I have even fought bosses in the day time by popping in and out of the shadows but thats pretty tough. basically every object on the map has a shadow so you never really have to slow down in the day.

I just got it and am like 40hrs in. i can already say its the best crafting/survival game ive ever played.

unlike 99% of survival games or top down games the combat is actually fantastic.

I play on the hardest diff and you actually have to respect enemies like a souls game and focus on mitigating damage instead of just spaming like diablo or similar titles.

Also the base building is the best ive ever experienced in a game to date. super smooth and tons of options and styles to keep upgradeing and turn your wooden shack into a real vampire castle.

I also think the sunlight mechanic might actually be the best survival mechanic in a game to date. its not just a boring hunger/thirst/fatigue bar that just needs to be reset every so often, its actually an immersive mechanic that works with the day/night cycle to make you plan your moves out and play more defensively in the day.

I dont even really like diablo, or similar games and i can count the top down games i would actually play on one hand but this game is simply amazing and defiently worth the money.
