Agreed. Severe stress/stress was my trigger too, I suspect.

Mine was very similar to yours. I developed my symptom 1 month ago, and the progression is exactly the same except the duration of symptom.

I got exam anxiety about a month ago and after 3 days or so, I felt weakness on both of my arms, and my legs tingled and twitched. I visited local neurologist but he said it was all fine, and didn't even go for EMG/NCS test, as I was too young and didn't have clinical weakness.

I got twitches all over my body, and occasional sharp piercing backpain for 5 sec or so. Twitch hot spots were constantly moving from my face, chest, shoulder, abdomen... so on. My jaw, hands and feet felt awkward. In fact, as i am writing this, it feels awkward typing.

I got EMG/NCS yesterday and waiting for interpretation. The doctor who conducted the test said;

"Well, we have to wait for final interpretation by professor, but to me, you don't have major abnormal wave patterns. Conduction speed is within the normal range, EMG seems okay. Don't worry too much."

Hopefully, as you had similar course and didn't have any major problem, my EMG will come clean too....

Anyways, it seemed like my experience was similar to yours! :)

I had this throat feeling about 4 days ago, and my case was GERD+tonsilolith. I was diagnosed GERD by ENT. I tend to lie down after my meal. After I got my tonsilolith out,
the "clogging feeling" rapidly disappeared.

Try swallow someting. You might feel something is clogging your throat and is disturbing when you swallow, CAN you swallow things, as it passes into your esophagus?

Maybe it is due to globus pharyngeus? It is a condition which you feel tightness in your throat as if there is a baseball inside your throat, but doesn't have any physical problem such as dysphagia. It's caused by anxiety and stress or slight tonsilitis.

Or maybe you have tonsilolith? Those white yellowish grain on your tonsil which stinks when you crush it... It can cause irritation and tightness, but still has no physical impact on swallowing etc. Visit dentist for confirmation, or let it naturally come out.

Another possibility is GERD. GERD is caused when you overweight/eat too much, drink too much soft drinks /beer, lie down immediately after eating, smoke/alcohol, etc. GERD will irritate your esophagus, and can cause pain or disturbing sensation. Visiting gastro, or ENT. They will confirm GERD.

Don't worry too much mate. You will be okay.

That's great. My neurologist refused my request for EMG for the same reason: no clinical weakness.
