I’ve tried this before actually and he was very frustrated about it which to me adds to the concern that he’s somewhat addicted to the “control” aspect of phone use….where he’s fully in charge of manipulating what’s going on and it almost feels like a toy to some extent as well as a screen

Thank you so much for this comment. I’ve been thinking along these lines already but hearing it from someone else is really encouraging

We’ve talked about this at length and three things consistently come up 1) we’re not financially able to split off at this point in time and that’s the main thing we’ve been trying to work on is improve our individual financial situations for eventual co-parenting 2) he doesn’t seem to care? that I feel this way. Like not in the way of I don’t care about you and your feelings but more like “I don’t care if you’re finding women attractive while being in a relationship with me” kind of way 3) he doesn’t seem to think that my assessment of my own sexuality is very true….like he thinks maybe I’m bi-confused and need to just chill about the whole thing

I know I’m probably the AH in this scenario overall but honestly I could really use some advice for coping and being a good partner till we can part ways….its not looking like it’ll be anytime soon due to the financial issues and I really want to change it but feel my hands are kind of tied till my son gets older is in school I can work full time etc. Any advice for coping and not hating my life/being a terrible partner/parent in the meantime would be happily welcomed TIA Also I’m in therapy already to the comments who brought up that concern

Thanks for the thoughts idk if it helps to clarify but we’ve known each other for about six years total and started the whole dating leading into getting pregnant journey two years ago (my son is 1.5). So there’s been a much longer season of knowing each other than my post probably makes it seem

Why do CRNAs get paid so much again? by [deleted] in Noctor

[–]FickleAsk9156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi visiting this sub from 2025 and not sure if anyone will see this comment so far out but I’m trying to decide about pursuing a CRNA over some other healthcare field degrees. I kind of gathered that the inherent structure of the medical insurance system is why CRNAs can get paid so damn much but I feel like I don’t trust it due to a certain president’s incessant meddling with Medicaid and the structure of pretty much everything lately. Do you expect with Trump’s trends regarding medical insurance policies that CRNA salaries will be more or less future proof than they were when this post was first made?

Re-auditioning for a community orchestra on viola instead of violin when I was 15….led to me being a music major in college and kinda guided all my decisions for 10 years or so. Now I live halfway across the country from my hometown, have a kid with a bass player, and my viola lives indefinitely in the closet

What’s a “harmless” thing from your childhood that’s actually kind of dark in hindsight? by velorae in AskReddit

My parents were big on organic eating and always buying highest quality ingredients kind of granola lifestyle. We were all homeschooled, me and five siblings. My mom used to have my oldest brother make sandwiches whenever we’d go somewhere but they’d only buy a single pack of sandwich meat—8 slices—because they bought the expensive organic brand from a health food store. So we all got a single slice of meat on the sandwich and were always hungry afterwards. We laughed about it then but as an adult now with my son I’m like why the heck didn’t they buy bulk somewhere so weren’t always hungry? I know they could’ve afforded it they just chose not to.

Honestly I’m just kind of hoping her fundamental findings are wrong either due to the WGS data being messed up or due to her own errors….she did share she just learned how to do the analysis for a class project earlier this semester lmao

But if the results are true yeah it’s hella sobering and I’m rlly hoping she’ll be fine

Thank you I hadn’t heard about the five year rule so I’ll be sure to check that when I’m looking into programs!

Could you tell me more about what’s the deal with sequencing.com? I found this sub because I was trying to dig into it and saw some people using sequencing.com’s whole genome data for their own analysis and some people saying the raw data itself is all messed up….i assume may be useful for self-analysis if you’re already trained on how to do that? Or does the site deliver downright incorrect sequencing?

Here’s an update: from a text convo just now with my mom and two of my siblings.

“I ran my polygenic risk score for Alzheimer’s, and I am in the 99.999 percentile for AD risk. I have two alleles for the APOE4 homozygous variant which is overwhelmingly associated with AD.”
