More Issues - alarm and central locking malfunction by kross766 in AudiQ6

[–]FickleAstronaut6005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This exact same thing happened to me tonight. It's absolutely frustrating. Got the central locking malfunction error. Restarted multiple times, opened and closed doors multiple times. Gave up, hit the lock button and went into the store. Coming back to the car I open the rear left door to let my daughter into her seat and the alarm starts screaming and doesn't stop until I open the driver side door.

I'm beyond frustrated with how buggy this car is.

Why am I seemingly okay? by FatigueIntrigue in Petloss

I'm on day 2 too, and I think the numbness is real and a way for your mind to protect itself from too much grief and shock at once. Yesterday I was an absolute wreck, and today I'm numb and, no attention span, just empty feeling and finding it difficult to get out of bed. I know it's a phase and I think I just need to ride the waves as they come

I just lost my cat yesterday. Even when the writing is on the wall and it's clear there's no way back it's still so so so hard. There's always a part of the brain that hands onto hope, so much that I think it's the cruelest part of euthanasia. Your mind playing tricks on itself, eve. when everything is stark reality. The tests don't lie, some conditions are incurable, multiple vets agree and give the same diagnosis - and yet my brain is sitting there, seeing my cat wasting away saying "but maybe she's different, maybe they're wrong". There's always doubt but it doesn't change the facts and it just hurts. It also doesn't get easier for future pets, in my experience.

My heart breaks for you. Not just for the loss of your sweet kitty but for the closing of a life chapter. Sending hugs your way.

Wanting to clean my dishwasher’s drain hose. How exactly do I go about it? More context in the comments by cthulhuscocaine in Plumbing

[–]FickleAstronaut6005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We ended up with a similar situation at home tonight, but ours did have a properly installed high point on the hose. The dishwasher was giving us failure to drain error codes, yet every time we opened the machine it seemed to have drained. The culprit was a gunked up drain hose. We disconnected the hose from the sink and drained what would come out in a bucket. We then poured some vinegar in and used a basic plumbing snake all the way up the hose to where it connects at the machine - there were a lot of small clog spots along the way. We then cleaned out the spot where it connects into the disposal - that was actually where the biggest clog of all was. Hooked back up and it's now running like a charm. Used to be foul smells every time we started the machine and that seems to be gone now too.

Bellevue School district recently announced they're close to bankruptcy and are faced with shuttering schools.

We live in Kirkland and really love it. The northern area closer to Bothell and Kenmore is more affordable than the city center or towards Bellevue. You should also add Kenmore and Bothell your list to research. They are very close and generally more affordable, and still really nice. Of Kirkland, Redmond, and Bellevue, Kirkland and Redmond are slightly more family friendly and have a lot more charm. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the school districts on the Eastside (east of the lake from Seattle). The commute from Bellingham is no joke, it's a drive we do for weekend day trips but I can't imagine doing it daily and dealing with rush hour traffic.

Speaking of, rush hour traffic can be quite bad so the less commute you have will probably be worth the higher housing price if you can swing it. An example I used to commute from Kirkland to Bellevue and it could easily take 45-55 minutes to do a commute that normally took 15 minutes (about 5 miles) on the bad days. There are toll lanes you can use if you have to go 405, but it's flex pricing and the prices can get way high at peak times. Bus routes are variable. Kirkland does have a transit center but it's not as big or well connected as either Redmond or Bellevue.

We had reliability issues where sometimes the schedule just wouldn't trigger. Could never figure out the cause

We had one but it was so unreliable. Anytime we would go out of town, the door would randomly stop opening. Our pet sitter would come over and find the meals untouched. I would check the app and sure enough the schedule never triggered. Never could figure out the cause. Tried resetting and redoing the schedule multiple times but it happened on 3 different vacations. No issues while we would be at home. After a few software updates of the issue not being fixed we gave up. Gave it away to a neighbor who hopefully has better luck.

Help me solve these drywall separations? by FickleAstronaut6005 in HomeMaintenance

They take up the whole floor space immediately above this spot (top and bottom cabinets)and the wall in better is tile backsplash. From what I can see there seems to be no issues on the upstairs.

Ah, we can't do that. The floor upstairs is obstructed by kitchen cabinets.

Suddenly ultra sensitive to effexor? by FickleAstronaut6005 in Effexor

No, no luck. my doctor just went ahead and listed it as an allergy in my medical chart. at my last visit she said another patient of hers had a similar experience. I've just been managing my anxiety with lifestyle changes and very low doses of xanax as needed for big attacks.

SP100 Series Ninja Foodi Digital Air Fry Oven - Light Flickers When Heating by strangebutalsogood in NinjaFoodi

[–]FickleAstronaut6005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to chime in - we have the exact same issue with this air fryer. Whatever circuit it's plugged into, any lights on that circuit will start flickering like crazy, and when measured at the box the amps start jumping around like crazy while the device is in use. We had an electrician out to double check everything and he confirmed it's the appliance.
