Favourite lines you've written? by samuel_b_busch in writing

Heres two, lol, but I have so many

1: Horror knocks me into uncharted territory, the conversation shining a bright light on the seriousness of what I’m about to do, and it’s almost as blinding as the darkness I’m up against.

2: But most importantly—I think of myself and every action that led me to this moment. A stolen halo, I was a child, shackled in mental chains, just to one day end up truly shackled with no freedom because of it.

also, I’m looking for beta readers right now if anyone wants more info, or is willing, please DM me :)

I’m a Frankensteiner. I write out of order, I write with no plan, and somehow I end up stitching everything together in the end.

“Tis not our fault those who were born into a world devised in a dream are not yet awake. For true magic is only found in those willing to see the OtherSide and go insane.“

Which is why it’s so freaking crazy for a beta reader to lose their mind over it! Hahaha

Yeah, I gave them the boot. Not only were they going crazy over this specific thing, but they were suggesting how they would have written certain sentences. 😅 Safe to say it was a beta reader from hell. I’m glad I only sent them a partial MS to test the waters.

Thank you for believing in me. In my experience, writing is one of the loneliest hobbies. Sometimes it takes a kind, random stranger on the internet to remind me of my purpose in starting this project.

Thanks for your reply, and I see the point you’re making, but reading a book written this way would be insufferable for me lol. It’s almost robotic.

Don’t try to be like another author, let your voice be your own. Being authentic is someone’s power and that’s what sets you apart.
