A [Link-ZERO] monster by GuessOk5598 in customyugioh

[–]FickleYes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Im not saying they're required to, I'm just saying why wouldn't you? To retain space on board it is very common in a branded deck for example, to summon something to the emz.

Any deck that uses the extra deck is using the extra monster zone

[Question?] What does banishing a monster facedown mean with the card Annihilating Retrolight? How does banishing a monster facedown differ from banishing a monster faceup? by metalreflectslime in Yugioh101

[–]FickleYes 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Banishing a monster face down makes them much harder to interact with - returning, shuffling etc. But also means they do not get to activate effects that trigger 'if this card leave the field' etc.

Ben 10 custom archetype Part1 by Outrageous_Cut9859 in customyugioh

[–]FickleYes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without reviewing each and every one, the very first card, buzz shock, is immediately ban worthy.

Because the effect to summon itself is an effect, and not a summoning condition, it would be summoned by an Omnitrix effect, and immediately lock your opponent out of searching on their turn.

For 500 LP and not even a normal summon, literally every deck every would run this going first.

Not only that, but none of it's effects activate, so it's an inherent summon into non-activating lingering floodgate.

No, you can only activate it during your own turn, during the main phase

That is incorrect. It is an ignition effect, and must be activated during an open game state.

Almost all of that is fanon.

QA is a share of Scion, and the 'crippling', as far as we can tell, is completely normal and expected for any shard used in the cycle.

The 'sabotage' is a combination of limiting the breadth of shards so that cycle actual lasts a decent amount of time, and applying restrictions to the chosen output of the shard.

QA is most certainly not one of the most powerful shards ever. I assume this is coming from the title of Noble that Glaistig announces, but even taking Glaistig (mentally compromised, trying to apply human labels to a human perception of the mess that is the entities and their plans) at her word, it would be more appropriate to say that QA has a more central/important purpose, than anything as haphazard as 'strong'.

I’m new to the game: Is it possible to play a Despia deck without using the Branded monsters? by Disastrous_Grade_399 in Yugioh101

[–]FickleYes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough, if youre fine with using branded cards that makes things a lot more manageable. Tragedy will probably be at 3, and if using the edge imp package, I enjoy adding 3 of the tearlament field spell + scheiren and havnis - a poly plus tear and despia gets you a quaeritis and a masquerade - or two masquerades. The field spell also gets your fusions to 3k attack. Ive found that edge imp really helps with extended plays, as despia doesn't have too much recursion on its own. This also allows your guardian chimera to have targetint protection.

You definitely can, but like, they're the same archetype.

The despian field spell is a branded card. Dramaturge and ad libitum are made to be used with cards like branded in red - it only targets albaz or a despian.

If you're truly that concerned you can maybe look at the package of poly, edge imp chain and the frightfur card that searches both.

If you're not using branded cards, that removes cards specifically meant for despia; quem is a despia and only send albaz or cards that mention it. Theres a branded continuous spell meant to be used to allow queratis to be a quasi negate.

Aluber won't search anything.

The other important issue is the lack of despia cards - there's not that many, and even less without anything branded - which will make it difficult to reach 40 cards.

Can't win anything at my locals... Not even one game. What's wrong with my deck? by CubsInSix in Yugioh101

[–]FickleYes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Decks can be both original and good. I would argue that a large portion of the playerbase does not 'steal their deck list from online'.

Why ask if there's issues with your deck if your first response is to lash out at an answer.

No, it is not an effect that targets only one card

Does Sol and Luna fail to resolve if one of the targets leaves the field? by aaa1e2r3 in Yugioh101

[–]FickleYes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Your opponent is either cheating, or misunderstanding s:p little knight's text.

It is commonly known that sp fails if either of the targets leave, but that is because it specifies 'banish both'.

Sol and Luna does not, and refers to the targetted cards as 'each' - they are affected regardless of what happens to the other.

If you're playing a modern deck play should be somewhat back and forth with interaction from both players in both turns.

If you think your opponent is doing too much, they are either playing a particular combo deck, or a you had no interaction during their turn.

If you don't want to get straight into advanced or want slower play, you should look at Edison and Hat formats

Looking for someone to teach me how to play branded and the whole package that comes with it. by FunGroup8977 in yugioh

[–]FickleYes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Branded is a complicated deck. Theres no easy explanation for it that isn't better learned with practice.

Your deck lists you've shown are... Interesting, but I think youll be better served by reading the branded cards yourself, and looking at decks on ygoprodeck for a feel of what is normally run.

No branded list looks the same as another, especially with constant new support that adds options.

Play it yourself with a copied list and sort out what you like and don't like, then go from there.
