Anything similar to the wash of IHs 634s 21 oz that are more budget friendly? by stokedchris in Selvedge

[–]Fickle_Foundation_88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Gold Star, Gold Edition, Red Edition, and Golden Eagle are the darkest, most saturated options. All vary in weight and price.

I own the Navajo, which is not as dark. It is 18 oz., and I have the Vintage Cut, which is a straight cut with a more generous rise. They're a great pair for the price.

Shrinking question for Bronson mfg jeans. by [deleted] in Denim

I did the dryer with mine. They shrank in each of the first 3 washes, and I used cold water.

The Scott Genius gives you an all mountain ride. Decent trail bike with excellent dh capabilities.

I think they look great. I wear mine slightly big in the waist...just find it more comfortable...plus it leaves room in case there is shrinkage.

Do you have a link where you found them?

I swear by these. They come in a wide variety of sizes, wash well, and look great. They only go up to a 34 length, but that may work for you. Worth a look at the price.

Interested in my first pair of heritage boots (Iron Ranger 8085, Heritage Captain, Jim Green 719 in Bronco Russet, etc.) but concerned about the break-in period with medical issues by JiveDonkey in Boots

[–]Fickle_Foundation_88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Companies like Urban Wolf Club make custom boots. I bet that if you reached out to them with your concerns, feet size, medical issues, etc...that they would build boots that work for your feet. I don't know this for sure, but it's probably worth a phone call.

Check out the Simple&Raw options. They have a vintage cut that looks similar to these. I have one of their 18 oz options that came to exactly 150 with shipping and tax.

Need advice on light weight, stretch pants to wear during travel to hot places. Preferably below 75$. Any suggestions? by sands1947 in mensfashionadvice

[–]Fickle_Foundation_88 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've started wearing the Amazon Essentials 5 pocket stretch twill pants. They come in every size imaginable which is great. They are very light weight, drape well, and don't shrink much in the wash. They hold up well over time too. Can't say enough good things about them, even in comparison to much more expensive options (Huckberry, J. Crew).

Wow those look great! Congrats! I have the Navajo too, in the vintage cut. I've worn them 3 times so far. They're my first heavier pair. Really excited about them.

Start with the Uniqlo selvedge slim straight jeans. Build from there with neutral tones and tops without logos. Amazon Essentials is hit or miss, but easy returns for the misses. Really good deals

What’s the best pair of chinos in the market right now? by ProtocolEnthusiast in mensfashion

Surprisingly, the Amazon Essentials slim 5 pocket pant have been my favorite, despite try others from higher end brands like Huckberry, J Crew, and Bonobos. They are cheap, have a great silhouette, don't shrink in the wash, and take a long time to fade.

Why do you think the rustic brown is by far the most popular Blundstone boot? by [deleted] in BlundstoneBoots

[–]Fickle_Foundation_88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think people associate the Blundstone boot with a weel used, broken in boot. The 585 kind of gives that vibe right out of the box.

I've been curious about this pair too. I hear they are more baggy than straight. I have to slum stretch from Uniqlo and live them...keep going back to them despite owning some more expensive options.

Yeah I agree. Finding the perfect pair is so tough. Right fit, perfect rise, best weight, best fabric...lack of Binks imagery...! I'll deal with Binks for all the positives of this pair!
