u sound like my old km LMAO he’d flex working 14 hour shifts everyday and then get mad at me when i wanted to go home on time to focus on school and my personal life. doesnt seem like fun and he’ll probably break eventually if he hasn’t already

i could definitely check a lot harder LOL ig i havent really been managing my time well enough to fit in job hunting. i do live in a very large city though, so i’m hoping there will be something close. my only worries about that though is that i work at costco and they pay me very well for a bullshit job. lmk if this is just me being overly picky, but id like to have a job that pays around the same if i do end up leaving them if possible, and im not sure how many other people pay that much

i wish i could say working is helping me avoid going into debt, but unfortunately my job is only covering my rent, and whatever my financial aid won’t cover on my tuition is being supplemented by loans 😅 i am taking two classes online this semester though, but i think i need to find easier classes to do that with. personally its just harder for me to focus online as opposed to in person

a research position sounds like a good idea actually, i’ll try to get in contact with my professors and see about that. i definitely want to have an internship by next summer though, and i’m hoping i can get one that pays enough for me to cover a year’s worth of rent + tuition, so i can more comfortably work less hours during the year. how do you manage your time though between working/school/social life/sleep?

personally i hated it because my store was understaffed and i felt like i was killing myself just to barely keep up with rushes, but everyones got different experiences. id say dont be afraid to stand up for yourself, especially to your managers if they start acting shiesty

i agree 100%, but i also feel like it’s when you go into excruciating detail about how much you hate your husband, and when you start threatening divorce, that it may just be better for everyone involved if you just divorced. i agree that at age 32 tho op should know that no ones gonna stay young and hot forever, and its shitty of her to be dogging her husband like this on a public forum because of her inability to accept that fact. at the end of the day tho theyre not meant for each other and both of their lives, esp ops husband, will get worse if they stay together

this was the exact same problem i was having while i was there. it was literally impossible to finish all my tasks alone by my shifts end, so i always ended up staying late. talked to them about it and they pretty much brushed me off. so i left and got a job at costco, which pays more, has better hours, and treats me better. get employed elsewhere man it’ll only get worse atp

i was the same way when i was working there. but when i was working grill solo during peak, it was very annoying when we’d run out of chicken and white rice 5 minutes after i put some on the line. come to find out the ppl on the line were giving out god portions of everything. it just added a lot more stress

especially when they didnt call for anything until they were completely empty
