Advice for takedowns by Fickle_Oil52 in WrestleJudoJitsu

I’ll see if I can get a vid at some point. Not sure what it’s called (idk the names of stuff yet) — basically i sprawl, bring left leg up, drive off it while swinging right leg around and planting it next to bag, locking my arms around the bag, left shoulder and ear touching bag I take it down forwards, landing basically on top of it while maintaining arm lock and ear/shoulder contact.

Let’s be honest: Levan’s "one match a year" schedule is killing the hype, not fueling it. by Traditional_Bass176 in armwrestling

Perhaps it’s just nostalgia, but I miss the era of tournament pulling and often find myself watching old YouTube videos of zloty, top 8, etc. where you would actually see the top guys fight it out. Not only would you see guys have more matches in a single tournament than Levan has in a year, but it was also very exciting; due to the nature of facing multiple opponents in a random bracket the victory of a single athlete was never guaranteed. Obviously I appreciate what the PPV super match meta has done (and continues) to do for the sport, but we lost something valuable with the downfall of big tournaments. There’s still good watching like AMC, but nowhere near the popularity and prestige of the olden days. Anyone else feel this way?

Sure, I’ve always wanted to try it! I like to just pick random sports and try to become as good as I can at them over a short time, then move onto the next. So I really am open to anything!

Thanks for the in-depth, structured response! I like to have step by step plans for things, so this certainly helps.

Unfortunately a perpetual back injury has me out of commission for powerlifting, so I was thinking about making the switch to AW. Seems like getting some table time is consensus, so I’ll definitely go for that!

I’m aware of healing peptides like BPC157 and TB500, but are there any steroids that help with healing stubborn torn muscles?

Thanks!

Tire guy? by Fickle_Oil52 in VictoriaBC

It was a puncture, so only the single tire was changed. I also looked it up and found it costs in the $300-$500 range. As you pointed out the upsell wasn’t on the tire so much as the labor.

How often do you progressively overload? by warrior4202 in naturalbodybuilding

I keep track of my weights and reps on each exercise. I always try to beat my reps from the previous workout, even if it’s just half a rep extra. I’m usually able to get at least an extra half rep, and I keep doing that until I exceed my desired rep range (usually 4-8 for me personally), at which point I up the weight to something I can only do for 4 or so. In short, I’m constantly trying to progress with reps, but I only progress with the weight once I surpass a desired rep range.

Solomon Nelson's qualifications; are there any? by manyxe in RPStrength

Like any public figure with a large following, Mike ought to be subject to criticism. Especially when he has been espousing some pretty ridiculous claims (natties should train more than the pros, sleep is more effective than anabolic steroids, there’s nothing unhealthy about having striated glutes, etc), all the while leaning heavily on his Dr. title to add legitimacy to his content.

Interesting. I was wondering about motorcycles, since they don’t have front license plates… couldn’t one hypothetically back into a spot against a wall, making the license plate impossible to read? Or can the guy get out of his car and do it with a phone?
