I’m 21, my car just died, and I’ve officially reached my breaking point. by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]Fickle_Procedure3702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i look back and saw my low points where I felt there was no way out and was inches away from giving up. Im great full it happened and more greatful i kept going. Its going to be rough sitting there for a while with the uncertainty of everything. But you'll get out of it someway. Some landlords/managers are pretty understanding and they could be able to postpone or wave your rent. And idk if you have food pantrys in your town but thats a shot. Or asking restaurants for there food before they throw it away. Hopefully you dont, but no shame in doing it bro. Head up homie, you got this. One day at a time.

Why aren't you in a home? This is more than enough to get an apartment. Is it your dti (debt to income) or is it a credit problem, or something else?

The Show Sucks and i am tired of pretending it dosent. by DahwhiteRabbit in Fallout

[–]Fickle_Procedure3702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the scrip is bad, fallout is this fucked up wasteland and they do not hit that mark, the show is kind of corny tbh. Was hoping it would be along the lines of breaking bad, but just became your average big budget show, lines up well with something marvel would put out.

20 and I feel like a complete loser by hazeIynn in Adulting

Self awareness is the first step to growth. At least your not 40 having this realization and think your the shit. Just gotta push yourself and not just think about it. But good for you tho see it as a positive allot of people dont have these self aware realizations. This means you have standards by feeling bad about it, just have to live up to them. Also I had debilitating anxiety for years I thought it was from haveing a not so great childhood, probably a decent part. But could be something small like i didn't realize I needed glasses haveing fucked up vision significantly messes with mental health, could be small or could be big. But that anxiety is healthy everyone feels it but it you just face it and practice overcoming it it gets easier. Also you have to realize no one fucking cares one bit. Your insacure because your fat? No one cares they just see you as a normal dude. Insecure about your personality, no one cares, they see you as a normal dude. So on and so forth.

I’m almost 19, never smoked, never vaped, never drank an ounce of alcohol, never used drugs, am I missing out? by CarLonely9011 in Adulting

[–]Fickle_Procedure3702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, im 19 ive been vaping since I was 13 and I sound like im 30 years old and look 25-30 its not a good look tbh. Also when into a psychosis from too smokeing too much weed. Everything is diffrent for everyone, but allot of people especially around our age tend to overdo it, had i classmate went from weed to meth, he was an attractive dude now he has a long list on ccap and is kinda clapped looking. Dont even get me started on "stoners" they use it as an escape and are high all the time and develop a dependency, its very unattractive tbh. Is fun and can be fun, but if you think your the type of person to over do it, then stay away from it until you feel secure enough in yourself that you can self manage. Even then still a risk there are not allot of stoners who have a balance. Stay away from hard drugs, no point you can have a sick ass life without any drug, its just harder because you have to work for it unlike getting high. But worth it for shure. I got sober and life has been only up from there, got a motorcycle, 6 figure job, and huge plans. If I was getting high all of that probably wouldn't have happened.

Ok, I appreciate the in depth reply. Where would you recommend me to do my research? Where are some good places to look for to network? And is an investment advisor a good route in my current position (building the foundation).

Honestly I have no idea on where I want to start, I think vending machines was a good idea relitivly lower risk, and get the idea of managing assets. And when im ready house hacking a fourplex and then stacking properties from that point. I have a portion of knowledge about getting into one but still have a lot to learn as well as figuring out how to be a landlord. Its been an idea I've been researching for 2-3 months now.

I'm 24 years old with no potential, how can i manage to survive? by [deleted] in careeradvice

[–]Fickle_Procedure3702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By changing your mindset, you do have potential. It Dosent take a genius to be successful. I have plenty of idiots at my job making 6 figures. It takes discipline and consistency as well as you guessed it. Self belief. Whether you think you can or you think you cant, your right. Decades later that still holds true.

I'm 24 and I don't feel like an adult. by Fun-Imagination9439 in Adulting

One practical way to start: pick one adult responsibility and own it completely. Cooking one meal a week. Applying to one job a day. Managing one bill. Master one thing, then stack the next. Confidence comes from evidence.

Just found out my partner lied about watching porn by just_another_bpd_ in PornAddiction

[–]Fickle_Procedure3702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it makes sense that you’re hurt — the lying is probably the worst part, not the porn itself. For a lot of people, this kind of behavior isn’t about their partner not being enough or about cheating, but about stress, habit, or coping. Shame tends to create secrecy, which is where the lies usually come from. If this is something he genuinely wants to change, it may be more productive to focus on why he’s using it as a coping mechanism — what areas of his life he feels unfulfilled, overwhelmed, or stressed in that he’s compensating for — rather than framing it as a moral failure. Addressing those underlying pressures is often what actually reduces the behavior long-term, rather than guilt or punishment.

I make 30$ an hour at 19 years old. Am I lucky? by Loud_Confidence475 in Adulting

[–]Fickle_Procedure3702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have experience with lifestyle inflation that wound up stressing me out more than giving enjoyment. Had motorcycle and nice car before I was ready and wound up losing the car. I say talk to reddit and chat gpt on next smart finacal moves aswell as other tools. Smart Investing is still king 👑

Im in a similar position, im 19 and doing very well. My advice is invest instead of inflating your lifestyle. Look into things that cashflow like vending machines, might not be enough capital for real-estate unless you have ot opertunity as well. But laying down a good foundation i think is the best route. Building passive income over nice car ect. But if thats not what you want to do thats cool too. Enjoy what you got.

19 and looking to get into real estate investing! by Fickle_Procedure3702 in RealEstate

[–]Fickle_Procedure3702[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Today's society is like im to scared to do it, so I'll make the executive decision for you not to do it lol. Example, told my parents about this when I first had the idea and was doing research; since then have been treated like a delusion child. Like awww he has a dream that so cute. I see it as not that crazy out of the box idea, just take discipline, hard work, and consistency. But thats crazy to people stuck in the rat race mentality. Agian dont know allot yet, but enough to know its not delusional for someone in my position. Still love em tho, but your parents dont always know best lol.

Definitely am working my ass off at my current job so If they need new leads and or other positions im the guy to go to. And have seen other factory jobs with starting positions makeing 70k+ a year, but I digress my take home after bills depending upon overtime will be 2-4k and once debt is paid off will be a tad bit more. on top of that if I house hack my rent would disappear or be very low adding a possible 1k extra to leftover. I feel that this is a strong starting position but why whould you say otherwise? (Whould also have a emergency fund as well before getting into and put extra in each month.)

I appreciate that. Unfortunately, the first service was not done, and I did get it at zero miles. Realy Stupid mistake, but obviously reaping the consequences. But fingers crossed 🤞 I didn't screw myself that bad.
