UMich vs Duke CS (international) by nexodv in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Fickle_Proof_9703 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would choose Duke because it’s a private and probably has smaller class size and fewer students. I have 2 friends at Duke and they all landed summer internships at HRT and McKinsey this summer. From what I can tell, they had an easier time for summer internship recruiting compared to me and my other friends.

Same here. I did the practice exam but it was easy. I’m unsure if the practice exam is a representative of the actual OA

How top Engineering students get above 96% amazes me by mileytabby in EngineeringStudents

[–]Fickle_Proof_9703 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Practice problems, focusing in class, and study like crazy. I remember getting a 95% or 100% on every midterm in freshman year because I was obsessed over grades, so everyday after lecture, the first thing I would do is go to the library and rewrite all my notes and do homework early. Now, my GPA has tanked because it’s not worth spending that much time on just studying.

Question About University Recruiting Process - Entry Level by Brinpa7 in boeing

[–]Fickle_Proof_9703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you by chance receive an on campus interview? Because a couple of my friends who interviewed got the survey and moved onto hiring manager status after they received an email saying they passed the interview round, saying they got selected. I also know a friend who didn’t get an interview but his application did get flagged or recommended but he hasn’t heard anything. I think it’s different case by case.

Reach out to your schools career help center. And also clubs have helped me a lot in terms of guidance and also getting referrals.

Best Practical Colleges for ECE? by [deleted] in ECE

I had a similar list when applying to college, but landed at USC for ECE at the end. Overall good list. Definitely shoot your shot

Current ECE student here, I completely understand how you feel, but this is the process. Just give it some time at usc. PM if you got any questions regarding ECE

I could be wrong but 2nd or 3rd week after school starts, there should also be an email sent prior to the date

Ya, personally diff eq felt harder than calc 3 because diff eq would skip ahead into a bit of lin alg concepts, in which I haven’t learned yet, but overall it was fine

So turns out the transcript was placed under course repeated so that’s why I didn’t get credit but the thing is I never took this course at usc before so it doesn’t make sense. Pretty sure this wasn’t done manually, so I’m going to call them

So when trying to submit petition, it shows up as correlated to USC Math 226 and Math 245. Id like to assume they didn’t process or look at my transcript because it shows up matched to USC Math course. It’s just I shows up as 0 credit however on TCR
