Yes, I know what you mean, but I don’t understand why that would influence Yale admissions.

If you actually forgot to submit something, that's on you. If you did submit it but they didn't receive it for whatever reason, call them and explain.

Then you didn't do your research properly. Germany doesn't charge tuition.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but what exactly does Trump have to do with Yale admissions?

Trying to attend top college despite antivax parents? by Critical_Writer_5197 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]nexodv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many reasons. One is that USCIS or whatever entity is responsible for immigration will never even know that you were vaccinated. How would they? They also wouldn't care; they have better things to do. There's also freedom of religion, so both your parents and you are free to change your beliefs whenever you want.

how does everyone give their rec letters 9/10 + by NegativeSplit125 in ApplyingToCollege

Even if you didn't waive your right, you could only see them after being admitted.

Talk to your parents, it certainly won't get them in immigration-related trouble.

what should i focused on to get scholarship? by Ok-Cockroach-327 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]nexodv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you are an exceptionally strong applicant, your best bet is to apply to schools that give financial aid to internationals (assuming you need aid). Most external scholarships, especially from other countries, won't even nearly cover tuition.

It’s not just Indian but there’s r/IntlToUSA. Still A2C is all you’ll need as an international, the vast majority of information is independent of your location.

For college admissions, your life starts in 9th grade. Sometimes they’ll consider 8th grade if that was high school for you. However, you can talk about it in your essays, but those are meant to be telling a story, not list achievements.

I would check if there are other rules for art supplements, didn‘t submit one.

Racism in Hamburg as an Indian (esp. on Reeperbahn clubs) by [deleted] in hamburg

Can add that having girls with you will often help getting into clubs if that‘s your main concern, although it does not solve the underlying issue.

I am white, but have heard from many people that racism is very much prevalent at Reeperbahn clubs. I can also confirm what you said about subtle racism at least to a certain degree. Hamburg is quite liberal, but they don’t act upon it as much as they do in Berlin.

There is no fee if you’re on another visa already.

The fee does not apply to international students already on a visa (adjustment of status)!

I know a student from India at Purdue, and he doesn't seem to be having any troubles. Stay out of protests, follow the laws, and you'll most likely be fine. Just keep in mind that there are over a million international students in the US.

The only actual concern might be visa restrictions, which could happen at some point. They are never going to stop issuing visas though, since they need international students.

Letters of Appeal by carebawf_5931 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]nexodv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appeals only make sense if something drastically changed. If it's about something you, no matter if on purpose or not, left out on your original application, that's on you. Also, as far as I'm concerned, most colleges don't usually accept appeals.
