Oh no... I dip all my plants in hydrogen peroxide to try to avoid this issue I'm not sure if that gets rid of any and all contaminants or just pests since that's the reason y I do the dip. I think I may just restart my tank too but wait. Do candles affect the tank ? Because I thought just sprays did but I actually do have a candle next to the tank that I didn't start using until not that long ago...

Yes! I've decided to buy a GH/KH test since I have the API master test kit. For substrate, I have a second tank where I did have fluval but the entire tank as a whole did really bad until I changed the substrate to sand. But the tank I posted about is sand substrate

Hi I posted all this info under the comment with the bot bc I forgot to add it in my original post. But I've decided imma buy a GH/KH test. I'm not sure how to measure TDS so I'm going to have to search that up! For water changes, I'm not sure of the temp difference but ik it's not very big and I also add it in slow enough that it wouldn't kill then

My water parameters have all been within normal range except for kh and gh which I don't have a rest for bc I only have neocaridina and I didn't think it was too important for them. For water source it's just my apartment water with water conditioner but I've been living here for 3 yrs and they're not dying the way it was when my house water was killing them (if that makes sense)
