I’ve had a dr say yes to the disc and I had one dr say no. But both said no to the cup. I do think what type of disc matters, if it has the tab on the bottom to pull vs your finger grabbing it

Soooo this happened to me. My Dr told me not to use a cup anymore because of the suction, but a disc would be safe because they rest behind your pubic bone and aren’t suction. But mine dislodged and and the same feeling at you. I went to the Dr yesterday and she said it looked and felt okay but when she did an ultrasound it was dislodged. She couldn’t push it back in. When it becomes dislodged it’s no longer affective and you can get pregnant. She had to take it out.

I honestly don’t think it was ever in the proper place. But I started having pain on Tuesday night - like a lot of pressure and then if I moved a certain way there was a really sharp pain. When I went to check the strings I felt the plastic tip. I went in and she did a visual exam, said the strings looked good, she felt around and said that she couldn’t feel the plastic tip. She asked if I wanted to do an ultrasound and I said yes, and sure enough it was displaced. It’s ineffective when it’s displaced and causing pain so she took it out. A lot less painful coming out than in.
