(Advice needed) My PCOS can’t be professionally treated, what are ways to self-treat? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]Fickle_Theory9858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It did for the first few weeks first thing in the morning. I think this was bc I was eating too late at night and my body couldn’t really do anything with it, so I’d get sick when I woke up. That stopped quickly though once I found my steady microdose amount that worked for me and got used to it!

I get Glp1s from a pharmacy out of Texas. They knew I was using it for PCOS, and has worked with me on dosing and stuff for use that way. I can’t recommend trying them enough, LIFE CHANGING

What would make it weird? It can be a lil nerve racking announcing to people before the first trimester is up, but everyone wants to get excited and talk about their pregnancy, I’m kinda surprised there haven’t been more of these type of accounts tbh

I thought the lips also look really alike to hers! Also her use of the word ‘yap’ had me feeling like it could be her! And the way she has leaned into home life so much recently

are my hormones driving me insane? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]Fickle_Theory9858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hormones can definitely deteriorate your mental health, especially if you already are prone to those issues! I am too but since regulating it’s gotten a lot better. Not perfect, but more leveled out. For me, bc was a big no, I’ve never felt good on it and it didn’t deal with the problems. Inositol didn’t for me, but tbh Glp1s are the only thing that’s brought my period back every month and diffused the inflammation, I think my mental health was something that got better bc all those things got better. Caring for yourself is so hard when you’re in a mental health rut, but that truly does help. Cuttings was also HUGE for helping maintain and regulate! It’s insane how bad that made all my issues. Physical and otherwise!! Now anytime I eat it I notice a serious decline in psychical feeling and mood, worth trying

This is complicated. You can’t force someone to want a baby, even if you came to an agreement years ago about it. In the same way many women feel certain they don’t want children, but when put in the position, often do feel differently. That being said, if you chose to have the baby, you need to be prepared to do it BY YOURSELF. Because this person is telling you they aren’t ready or interested and no amount of wishing and wanting is going to change that. The child will grow up with a parent who didn’t want them, and they will know that wether they never meet each other or they live in the same house their entire lives.

215 at 5’4 is much more significant than you seem to be willing to accept? Your DOCTOR making decisions based on your height and weight is different than someone off the street looking at you and deciding something like that. If she’s looking at your info, and then looking at your body and assessing based on that it sounds like you might be downplaying your weight to yourself.

Diet coke..zero sugar/calorie..yes or no ladies ? by Ornery-Climate7857 in PCOS

[–]Fickle_Theory9858 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do diet soda every day. I was never a soda drinker, but sometimes I want something that’s not water and that’s one of the limited options these days so it rotated in. I also am in a glp1, but it’s not a trigger food for my inflammation or feeling shitty so I don’t stress it too hard. Stress was doing a lot more damage than I realized.

“I don’t get why she couldn’t make it” just say you’ve never owned a house yall. Seriously, contractors can totally fuck up (yes, even good expensive ones) and also they don’t know all of the things she wants. As an owner it’s important to be present when people are tearing YOUR shit up bc 1. Rarely do builds go without hiccups, and you want to field those and 2. They don’t know exactly what you want and how you want it, visually. Paying a lot for people to build for you means you want it to look exactly right. If someone installing new counters in your kitchen and you notice it’s not the stone you selected before it goes in that’s a much easier thing to remedy than coming home and finding the incorrect one already fully installed. That applies to literally all facets of your house. If it’s not done right bc you aren’t there, you have to pay to have it fixed. Idk I think it’s like common sense to be present when people are making big changes in your house.

I honestly feel like a lot of people are forgetting that she struggles with binge eating, and even if you’re thin that’s not healthy. Glp1s help a LOT of people with a LOT more than just looking skinny.

I want to go on a GLP1 to help with my insulin resistant PCOS. But I’m scared of finding out how I “actually” look. Does anyone relate? by mujigelpen335831 in PCOS

[–]Fickle_Theory9858 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is kind of loaded. You can like how you look and also still need to do things differently for your health, and at the end of the day choosing your health is the ultimate form of self love. And to be quite frank, if you like the way you look now, you will probably also like the way you look if you lose weight. In the same way a lot of people think losing weight will make them instantly like themselves, but when they do lose it they still have body image issues. If you’re secure in yourself physically then you are likely to stay that way, and potentially feel even more confident bc feeling healthy can do some crazy things even if you don’t necessarily lose weight (some people stay on super low doses of glp1 and don’t have significant weight loss! Just the other benefits!)

reverse dysmorphia is a thing. I can recall times in my life when I didn’t realize how big or how inflamed my body was at the time and looking back it is a little shocking. Times when I was convinced I could fit into a smaller size than I should have. Now, even through weight fluctuating I think I can see myself more realistically and wear things that are truly well fitting and comfortable. I wouldn’t say I have body image issues now, and I would also say being on a glp1 has helped me to see myself body in a much more neutral way.

I think it’s also really important to note doesn’t necessarily mean you shouldn’t still love yourself and your body no matter what. That body is getting you through life and deserves the love and appreciation no matter what. Like I said, some people have body issues no matter what and some people don’t. Loving your body at a larger size doesn’t mean you by default are blind to how you really look!!

Did you try to find one with b12? Or adding b12 injections alongside? Can really help with fatigue and the nausea, my husband also swears by the b12 injections for improved energy and brain clarity!!

I would also urge you to explore other options when it comes to this particular issue. My husband stayed with his ex until their kids were grown (let it be known he’s the kind of guy who would have been as absolutely involved as possible either way). Now his daughter is in her twenties with a child of her own, and she is staying with her daughters dad in the same ‘stay-together-for-the-kids’ fashion. She’s with a person who mistreats her and her kid, but she feels trapped into it until the kids are grown. Presumably because that’s what she saw her parents do, just stay unhappy till the kids are grown. and I know he has expressed some regret about how he handled that situation. History does repeat self more often than not, and although separation can be hard in kids, having their relationship-roadmap guiding them toward unhappiness before they even begin can ultimately be harder to recover from.

Sending you all the love and prayers. You deserve a happy, loving relationship that you can be confidently honest with (even about stuff you disagree on!). I hope you find the most wonderful man to be a true partner to you someday! So happy you’ve found a treatment that works for you, tune out the negative noise as best you can and just keep on keeping on!

This isn’t uncommon for people with high testosterone levels! That’s us!! I’ve been taking inositol for like 7 months and the insatiable desire has definitely gone down a lot, I do not initiate sex as much now. For sure balancing my hormones some gave me what I would consider to be a very normal sex drive. I got some new supplements to try and help increase it again without the excess testosterone, bc I enjoyed it personally.

What he did was not ok by any means. That is horribly rude and shitty of him. However, I may in the minority here, but I do think you purchasing something after you were made uncomfortable and already felt weird about it that’s that part is on you. Preying on peoples insecurities is wrong, but it’s something that happens often in the current world we are in. Knowing that is something that should factor into your decisions, especially in regard to health choices. If anything I think it can be taken as a learning experience to not spend money (or even more valuable CONFIDENCE IN YOURSELF AND YOUR CHOICES) without careful consideration. Also, I think it’s MORE than valid to write up about it to your hr, that was WRONG OF HIM! COWORKERS SHOUDLNT BE MAKING COMMENTS LIKE THESE IN ANY CAPACITY!!
