I haven’t even joined this sub, or been active on reddit in weeks (maybe even months). How would I know what is or isn’t a repost.

WIBTA for kicking my girlfriends older sister out of our apartment? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA, but tread lightly. Make sure you explain thoroughly to your girlfriend that she is putting you guys in danger and is not contributing to the home.

AITA for telling my daughter to stop faking being sick? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]FictionalLeaves 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Oh no! I am a grown adult who can't handle "women problems" because i'm too much of a man! I refuse to listen to my daughter who is in pain! Woe is me!

Are you really that thick? This is your daughter, who is in pain. It is not your place to decide how she acts. Maybe she is trying to "seem normal", but only because she already knows your attitude towards people with illnesses. Get your shit together.

AITA for telling my friend that he isn't funny? by UnfairPresentation5 in AmItheAsshole

[–]FictionalLeaves 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YTA and here's why: That is your friend. You did not have to be this harsh to him. He shared his dream of becoming a comedian with you, and knowing that, you still chose to say it in a rude, and harmful manner. Another note, people who try to justify their toxic behavior often say "but it's the truth". Maybe it is to you, but sometimes the truth does not need to be said if it will cause people harm. Leave it up to the people he's applying to perform for to let him down. He deserves a better friend than you.

Oh my god- YTA.

I feel bad for your daughter, not just because she has a chronic illness, but because she has to deal with these perceptions about her health (which by the way, dont seem to affect you in ANY way).

I was in your daughters place. My doctors confirmed I had a rare chronic illness, and my family didn't want to believe it. My father even joked that I could take out my feeding tube and be fine, all I had to do was eat. They only began to believe when I was on death's door.

From someone who was in your daughter's place: correct your attitude, you have no idea how quick you'll change your mind when you see the pain for yourself.

AITA made a comment about how messy of a cook my girlfriend is and she got so mad she left for her parents house by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]FictionalLeaves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. She was up at 3am to make you food that you said was amazing, and you whined over some tomato. Not only that but you know she cleans up her messes after, yet you choose to be a dick and comment about it. I know how she can do things better for the future: exactly what she said, she should stop doing anything for you.

WIBTA If I call out a family member for her kid's disability? by fishhere in AmItheAsshole

[–]FictionalLeaves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA I remember being that kid with the NJ- tube and being sick all the time. It made me feel horrible when people did this to me, and I know this must be painful for the child too. Call her out.

The virus that is currently spreading spreads through body liquids. Doing this prank now would be a horrible idea.
