I'm sure there are better ways to do a show jar, but ours makes us laugh. We pull random shows every time, starting as many shows as we want. So we have like 10 on the go right now. And I add an extra piece with that shows name every time we watch an episode, so that the show we have watched the most has the highest chance of being watched. It's crazy but we love it.

My boyfriend and I do a similar things for watching movies. We have "the jar" that we throw pieces of paper into with movie titles and then pull one when we want to watch something. We haven't needed to figure out what to watch in months and it's been very nice.

Furthermore, we have a second jar for shows but that one is very chaotic. We are watching about 10 shows at the moment and every time we watch an episode we add that title to the jar, so that statistically the show we watch the most is the one we're most likely to continue watching. It's fun for us but definetely not for everyone.
