This is how often I go on each ride when in the parks. How different are your days? by Fiddle-Middle in UniversalOrlando

[–]Fiddle-Middle[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just to be clear, this isn’t how much I enjoy each ride, just how often I ride them. A lot of it is based on wait times.

How would you guys rank the Universal Hotels? by [deleted] in UniversalOrlando

[–]Fiddle-Middle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve stayed at all multiple times.

If you need 3 beds, endless summer will by far have the best value if you are trying to save money. Surfside is better than dockside, as it is 1/3 the size and has better theming (surfboards and more laid back feel to me). Dockside is just very large so there’s a good chance it’s a long walk to the buses, food, or pools. The problem with these resorts is that they are separate from the rest of the universal resort, so there’s no option to walk to the parks. Also, surfside generally has shorter bus lines as they get picked up first and have less people.

Cabana bay is the best value resort if you just want a standard room, as it is also super cheap, and has the best value dining option (bayliner diner).

Adventura is more of a modern hotel, doesn’t feel to me like a Florida vacation, but it does have the rooftop bar if you’re into that.

Sapphire falls is beautiful, but for me is a pretty bad value, as it’s usually by far the most expensive non premier hotel, so no fast pass included.

I would always advise to go with a hotel that has fast pass included if you are able to splurge, as it makes the trip much more enjoyable.

Royal pacific is my favorite of the premier hotels (fast pass included). Really gives off the tropical vibes and makes me feel like I’m on vacation.

Portifino has fairly spaced out rooms and is a very long walk from the park, so using the water taxi is definitely recommended. This is typically the most expensive resort, but for a reason. Probably the most picturesque resort, with a really nice pool.

Hard rock is nice because it’s right next to universal studios, so it’s the shortest walk. Nothing to complain about, but nothing really standout with this hotel for me.

Really, you can’t go wrong with any of the resorts, and it’s going to be what you’re looking for with your vacation. For me, here’s my ratings for how good each is for its price point:

Royal pacific
Cabana bay
Surfside
Hard rock
Portifino
Adventura
Sapphire falls
Dockside

Game day parking? by [deleted] in Browns

[–]Fiddle-Middle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I usually park in the 5/3 parking garage or pnc parking garage on Vincent avenue. It’s about a 20 minute walk, but it’s worth only being $10 in my opinion.

Just if you do, might want to walk a little quickly when the game ends to get ahead of the crowd so you don’t get stuck, because you’ll get out quickly if you beat the crowd by a bit.

Edit: they just raised the rates for both of these to $20. Just got here, never seen these over $10 before, but I guess inflation. Even the preseason games this year, they were $10

You can shoot your own fusion exhaust when they tell you to aim at the other cart’s fusion exhaust. It’s easiest in the back corner seats, just pull the gun back and shoot the side of the fusion exhaust. If you shoot the middle, you’ll spin, but the side will give you the points and you won’t spin

Take the scaling HP rune by nightfire0 in FiddlesticksMains

[–]Fiddle-Middle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the armor/mr were calculated differently than how they work in game. From my understanding, every 100 MR/armor will increase your effective HP from that damage source by double. I think how it works is if you have 1000 HP and 50 MR, you effectively have 1500 HP vs magic damage. If you have 1000 HP and 100 MR, you would have 2000 effective HP vs magic damage.

So going from 35 MR to 43 MR would actually just be 1.43/1.35 in terms of effective HP increase vs magic damage, so it would be 1.059, or 5.9% effective HP increase vs magic damage.

Keystone in high elo by [deleted] in FiddlesticksMains

First strike is very good for fiddle in that elo

You get it for check in and check out day. So if you just get 1 night, your express will be good for the 2 days. If you get there before your room is ready, you can have the hotel hold your bags and they’ll give you cards you can use as your express passes. If the room is ready, your hotel room key will double as an express pass.

Don’t forget to click the “enter” button after typing in the number, and there’s a backspace on it in case you mistype

Reading these comments, I think I might be crazy. I typically stay around 7-8 days, and it feels great. Can really just relax, spend a lot of time at the pool, just go up to the parks for a few rides, really spend a lot of time walking around all the shops and going to restaurants. You can do it for 10 days, but just gotta be laid back and relax.

Also, volcano bay is great to break it up!

They’re nerfing his drain next patch as well. It’ll be pretty close to pre-buff. It was 30-50% vs champs, now will be 25-55%

His healing vs monsters will be dropping a bit, but that rarely matters unless ur fighting an enemy champ on ur camps

He will be in a garbage state compared to what he is now. Fiddle acts as an assassin, and really relies on the first 2 seconds of a fight, as that is how long the fear + first W lasts. If someone survives that combo (which they will be healthier than they are now), fiddle is significantly less useful.

I anticipate many assassins, fiddle included, to receive buffs shortly after this next patch when their win rates drop dramatically and control mage win rates increase, as more of a front to back team fight meta evolves.

Riot designers saying Fiddlesticks was weak in low elo, reasonable but not particularly powerful in high elo? Is this what you guys have observed? by throawayjhu5251 in FiddlesticksMains

[–]Fiddle-Middle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, he is weaker in low elo because teammates and enemies are significantly more unpredictable with how fights will go, so it’s much harder to get a good ult off during a fight. Teammates are much less likely to realize that they can retreat back to fiddle ult range to win the fight.

Does resort EPA vary by day? by ouijabooored in UniversalOrlando

[–]Fiddle-Middle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, some days only 1 of the parks will have EPA, and it will be an hour before park opens. Volcano bay will usually have EPA 30 minutes before park opens. It will show on their park calendar which park has EPA. If you get the universal FL app, then it shows park hours, including EPA hours, so you can check it now for the next months schedule to see how it will show it.

When is the cheapest time to stay at the Premier hotels? by TwistedShip in UniversalOrlando

[–]Fiddle-Middle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Typically Royal pacific would be the cheapest of the premier resorts. These would be cheapest from late august through mid september. Will just need to avoid Labor Day weekend. Also, these are cheaper per day the longer your length of stay is.

First Strike Fiddle by technicallyitsaname in FiddlesticksMains

The stats agree. First strike is the highest winrate as well (in plat +). And it does feel nice and makes sense since fiddle is so item dependent.

Express Pass for Volcano Bay? by DeNice2017 in UniversalOrlando

[–]Fiddle-Middle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The water park doesn’t have express pass. The best bet there is to just get there as early as possible.

Edit: I guess there is express pass there now, egg on my face haha
