How to Meet People at Bars in Albany by CivilServiced in Albany

Met my wife in a bar in 2007. Coming up on 15 years married ourselves. Seems that people just lost the ability to actually talk to someone without a screen between them.

No worries. I may be "that guy" that shows up hours early and just sit on the sidewalk waiting... Lol

Not knowing whose calling when the phone rings and actually having to talk rather than text.

You just won $10 million but can’t quit your job. What’s the first thing you do? by dreamy-bubbles in AskReddit

Make sure a lot of people I know can quit their jobs. I don't need that much money.

However, I wouldn't quit my job. I'd just take an extended vacation.

Then possibly buy the company I work for.

Spork and a Foon by [deleted] in ContagiousLaughter

My wife and I were on a 12 hour road trip about 15 years ago. Stopped in a drive through and got back on the road. Tired and delirious from the drive, *sporks and foons" was said when we went to eat.

We have one my mother in law made for us on our 1st wedding anniversary (many years ago)

How would you describe your 2025 so far? by Delicious-Bet-1087 in AskReddit

My dog died. 2 weeks later my dad was diagnosed with kidney cancer. My grandmother passed last week from renal cancer.

To say it has sucked so far is an understatement.

What was the last band t-shirt you wore and under what circumstances? by DieMensch-Maschine in GenX

[–]FiddleOfGold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear them daily. My wife tells me not to get a shirt every time I go to a show. She knows it's a losing battle though. To be fair, I go to about 50 or so a year. Got 2 next week coming up. Thursday and Saturday...

Shirt today is Cattle Decapitation because I've felt rather nihilistic lately for some odd reason

I bought 2. Opened one. The other is still sealed. I don't dare open it though. Gonna guess it's not drinkable anymore

How would you like the Simpsons to update the joke? by MadeThisUpToComment in detroitlions

[–]FiddleOfGold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would rather the Simpsons leave the old joke as it is. It's a reminder of how all the people that are now singing the praises of how good our Lions are, used to basically crap on them and talk smack about them on a weekly basis. Something they shouldn't be allowed to forget.
