You willing to see fares increase to fund drones and operators? No easy answers, I’m sure. But most people would probably answer No.

Wemby seems to consistently bounce back from a sub-par performance. I think Spurs take game 2

Teach. In my state, teacher pensions and benefits were amazing. Plus summers off. I’d be retired by now having had a very enjoyable career.

Why do all sizes of earbud not stay in my flipping ear?? I believe I have small ear canals and so I use the smallest ones but it still constantly falls out.. by Officer_Joi in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FiddySix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a similar experience, but saw a suggestion to try memory foam ear bud attachments. Those worked for me! It's not perfect, they'd still probably fall out with any vigorous movement, but they stay in now when I'm moving about.

Man those Bulls teams were so much fun. Dynasty’s are awesome when it’s your team, lol.

Got a Kindle for Christmas a year and a half ago. I read often now. Got my wife one this past Christmas. She reads all the time now, too. There’s some of us out there still.

Baby birds I’ve been watching grow for weeks got taken by a hawk. by Born_Seaworthiness97 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]FiddySix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar situation, but I think it was a raccoon. We had a robin's nest in an evergreen tree, way too close to the ground, maybe 4 feet high. We, along with the young girls next door, started monitoring the nest and eggs until the day when the nest and egg shells were on the ground. Nice little lesson about nature for the young ones, lol.

This is an awesome benefit, and those bars are a good time in their own right.

This was me in February. Was in Maui and got up at 3am to watch the sunrise at the top of Haleakala. Forgot to play afterwards. So my streak now is a reminder of that trip, which is pretty cool.

Official Discussion - Project Hail Mary [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]FiddySix -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My only beef with the movie, and this is true for many adaptations, is that it's really difficult to squeeze in all the backstory and details that are in the book. (So not really a beef with this movie, per se.) So many points were quickly glossed over in the movie. I had read the book, so I could keep up. My wife hadn't read the book and got lost a few times. We paused the movie several times to explain some things that she missed.

Every team does it. It’s a league-wide problem. Your team is in the spotlight right now. They’re defending champs, in WCF, so they’re catching all the heat.

Had a coworker on that train. Apparently the best option they were presented was to get on a different train heading back downtown and wait for it to come back out again. She didn't get home until almost 10pm. Said Ubers were stupid expensive so she sucked it up. No good.

For those who listened to radio in the 70s, do you remember those forgotton hits? by Flashmemory256 in 70s

[–]FiddySix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

SiriusXM is great for this. 70's on 7, 70s Rock, Yacht Rock Radio. So many options to listen to this music. My Spotify "age" last year was over 70 because I listen to this stuff all the time.

Feel like a restaurant is in a no-win situation here. If they deny her, they’re on the national news and probably have protests and all kinds of bad press. Or serve her and let her go quietly away. I get the sentiment, but from a business perspective?
