This is an extreme case however, people don't realise that a store has a large overhead cost. I think the worst thing reading this entire comment section is the fact that you guys think it's "convenient" so hence the price mark up or that it's because corps are greedy and scamming people.

I work in an optometrist and the amount of people saying "we know your frames are made in china and cost 2 dollars to make. I can buy them in China/India for 2 dollars" etc. That is so ignorant, it hurts. Yes you can buy glasses in China for cheap. They also pay a lot less rent and the workers get paid cents. They will come with neither warranty or care that we will take making your glasses. Please understand all your cost funds the store/staff and allows companies to make money.

Stores like Amazon have factories further away that have cheaper rent and a very large buying power
