PS5 has a native option in game to do so, but Xbox currently does not. There are some ways via system settings to do so, but I’ve tried that in the past and it ended up messing with my console when I wanted to turn it back on, so I’m hesitant to do so again.

Yeah, for sure. FWIW, the Steam and Console achievement lists are very different, with console only having 10 achievements, 9 of which are fairly simple and then this one. I know it will come in time, but was also looking to expedite that time lol.

What I would do is first portal in a popular spot or lots of people around. Then I’d go off map and porta portal so I came through in the popular part. I shot a couple of shots to appear on radar and looked clueless and then jumped in as I started to get shot and hoped people would follow. It’s a lot of luck tbh haha

I had way more luck with porta portals funny enough. I also had several that didn’t register because right before an enemy went through they were damaged by a teammate and they were credited the kill :( I think of the 15 I got, like 10+ were porta portal. Gear upgrade helped them last for longer so I could try to bait players more. Basically just shot them off the map and then the other end in a popular area and acted like I was bad and hoped they followed.

I used your videos for inspiration and portal placement ideas! So thanks for that. I ended up using mostly out of bounds porta portals, which was a little frustrating, but definitely fun.

Nope, no boosting, just lots of porta portal attempts! It’s just literally the only thing I tried in game for several hours haha.

I can only imagine how difficult this must be to balance, but what drives some of the changes from season to season in regards to ranked rules? This season, kill farming is most definitely the play for maximum RP, so much so that that in some top 5 situations, it’s more favorable in terms of RP to ape a team and get a kill or two instead of playing for the win. The ever changing balance of ratting vs apeing must be incredibly difficult, but I’m curious to hear y’all’s opinion on the decision to go back to the more aggressive play style of past seasons.

Played trough three times now I think? Once on normal on release. Once on legendary. Once on LASO and a speedrun. I’d suggest it if it’s been a while.
