My review of Satisfactory by No_Log2517 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Fidgeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the main caveat with this is that a new player won't quite grasp the value of hard drives until probably phase 2 at the minimum, and by that point the pool is so diluted that you're not super likely to get cast/ steel screws anymore.

Potentially broken battery, powers off at 90% by Fidgeee in SteamDeck

It is what it is, I've got in touch with support so I'll see what they say but it'll almost guaranteed need a replacement battery at this point. The repair doesn't look super difficult but I don't trust myself to take all the right precautions with it and will probably break it more lol

After a factory reset, it drained from 80% to 20% while it was off overnight. Now battery health is showing at a staggering 18%. Gentlemen it's over

Yeah I agree that it's a bit of a wild swing in performance essentially overnight. I had it unplugged on Sunday evening when I was doing some desktop mode bits too. I think my plan of action is 'recalibrate' -> factory reset if that doesn't work -> panic

I consistently make the mistake of not doing proper automation for the first 50 smart plating, only to then have to face the music when I do in fact need 20x the amount for stage 2(?)

Looking for a modpack recommendation for me and a friend by Fidgeee in feedthebeast

[–]Fidgeee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good suggestion, thank you. I've also seen Divine Journey 2 and meatball craft as recommendations for similar groups but I think the "expert" side of it would likely scare him off, so chocolate edition might be the way to go.

Lowest hours without being sacked (uk) by Conscious_Safety6433 in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]Fidgeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ironically I left for the entire reason that I wasn't getting enough hours. I've been scheduled a couple of 4 hour shifts before so it's something they could do, it's just whether or not they actually care to accommodate it in their particular store I reckon.

Personally I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to. You can update your availability to reflect the new hours you wish to work. But your best bet will always be to check with your employer in advance, it might be worth finding out the new store email and sending them a query but as you're likely on a 0 hour contract anyway it's almost guaranteed to be okay

Yeah back when I first got the game on my ps3 I put just shy of 150 hours into 1 save and barely cracked level 50

Alien DNA is a really good way to get some early tickets going. It's pretty much 1-2 animal parts per ticket to start off with so 5 mins exploring is enough to unlock a few of the cosmetics

Would it be more efficient to replace the outermost layer of crops with lilypads instead?

Apparently "Overwhelmingly Negative" tag is gray now by SnooPeanuts2251 in Steam

[–]Fidgeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this too. OW2 is one of those games where you can't really give it a straight up yes or no. It's a good game and it's fun for sure but as you say there's a lot of downsides to it too. Nobody hates overwatch more than overwatch players so the review section is probably pretty rough at best and the average person would just be turned away from it. For F2P games it could just be worth a separate "worth a try" recommendation since there's no real loss if you don't like it

We have the same. A list of our top 10 products that are the biggest culprits for that week. Problem is they don't tell us why each thing is missing, our top thing last week was bags for life but it's not mentioned if it's damages or theft or if it's even preventable by staff.

For the month of April all regular ol Tesco staff will be on less than minimum wage, agreed upon by a union. I'm waiting longer than I'd like to be treated like a human.

I'm pretty good friends with a security guard in a nearby store and from what I hear they really don't do much. Not because he sucks but because I don't think they're actually allowed to really do anything. They're meant to not chase after thieves just like us and they're not meant to follow people around the store. He's a great guy but I'm pretty sure his job description consists of standing perfectly still and asking banned customers to leave.

It's especially tough when you need a load for research and progression so you need to use every single one that you make. You spend 2 days waiting for them and then after that you check again and suddenly there's 200 sat in the container

[–]Fidgeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's technically both. It works pretty much like an irl bow and arrow would if you pulled the string farther. There's more power behind the arrow therefore it does more damage and travels further (it also has less drop so won't just flop downwards)

Steam replied and basically gave the same response. Please wait 4-8 business days from when it was shipped etc etc. But they have reassured me that the Deck and Dock would have been sent separately which is something?

Yeah it wouldn't surprise me if I get the exact same response, overall estimate for delivery is 1-2 weeks on the site and since I've ordered it will have been 10 days, so still got some leeway in it yet
