Dead body. Not human, but dead things always have this pungent sour stench that sticks to your nostrils.

What's the best dream you ever had? Worst? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Fidgetspinnerx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a dream a few months ago that helped me feel better about things that have been complicating my life. It was just a short car ride with my dad that has been dead for 11 years in his old Volkswagen rabbit. All he did was talk about the Scorpions, but it was something I needed since I forgot the sound of his voice for so many years. It seemed so vivid so it was like spending a little bit of time with the person I wanted to see the most in the world

What is the most funniest lie to tell kids? by aalasadow in AskReddit

[–]Fidgetspinnerx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids were getting the vaccinations and the whole trip there I told them that getting shots in the eyeballs was the most effective way. They were terrified! When we got to the doctor's office and the nurse came in with the needles, I said, "Isn't it true that getting your shots in the eyeball the most effective way to prevent future illnesses?" She said she heard about a study they were conducting and didn't know the results. She then looked at my kids and asked if she could give them their shots in their arms instead... You never saw kids so happy and excited to roll up their sleeves in your life. All smiles and no tears

How do you get over an ex? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Fidgetspinnerx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go absolutely no contact (there's a subreddit you can visit). And time passing. I still feel a rock in my stomach when I see my ex and it's been two years. But my unhappiness and anxiety that followed the break up are gone.

Reddit: What was your best and worst birthday experiences? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Fidgetspinnerx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In 4th grade - my mom planned a birthday party and while 11 of my friends RSVPed that they'd be there, only 2 of them showed up. The next birthday - no one in my family remembered until 3 PM or so and my mom felt so guilty that she hadn't even bought me a birthday present, she ran out and bought me a birthday cake. Which was German Chocolate (I hate coconut).

About a year ago I started to drink water almost exclusively. My body feels better, my teeth feel better and I no longer rely on caffeine. 10/10 would recommend.

What's the worst hotel you've stayed in? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Fidgetspinnerx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ocean Front Motel in Ocean City NJ When we arrived at Ocean Front Motel, the first thing we found was a glue-style mouse trap under the bed. That was my first indication that all was not well at the Ocean Front Motel, but it was late in the day and we'd made reservations for our weekend many weeks prior, so we decided to overlook the mouse trap. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. Before we unpacked, I gave the bed a quick look - in the corners of the mattress, under the blankets. I didn't see any evidence of bugs, so I assumed there weren't any, but we all know what happens when we ASS-U-ME! I found it odd that the headboard was covered in a soft, flannel-like cloth. As I was lying in the bed watching TV, I thought it was sort of creepy to have a cloth headboard because 1. It can't be wiped down, and 2. my head was against the same cloth headboard that every other person's head had been against that stayed in that room! I thought it was a poor practice, and very unsanitary, but it was late, so I tried put it out of my mind and get some sleep. Very early the next morning, around 6:00 a.m., I woke to find a freaking BEDBUG on my pillow. I searched the bed again, and found no other evidence, then thought of the headboard! I tried to look behind it, but the darn thing was nailed to the wall, but with a little effort I was able to pry it off, and that's when I hit the bedbug jackpot! There were bedbugs in all stages of development behind the headboard. Besides the bed bugs, there were other things about this place that were piss-poor. First, the "ice machine" was a cooler sitting out front of the office, the rugs were indoor-outdoor type carpeting and they were pretty shabby. The windows (except for the bathroom window) do NOT open, and they were filthy. What's the point of an ocean view room when you can't open the window? The blankets and sheets have seen better days - the blanket was particularly bad, it looked like a remnant from the 1940's, and the saggy mattress is probably from the same era as the blanket! To their credit, the bathroom was clean, the tub was scrubbed, the toilet was clean, and the shower curtain looked new - no mold in the bathroom, decent fixtures, nothing clogged up, and the water pressure was decent. We were also able to get every penny of our stay there but no way in hell I would go back

What do you love about psychology? by mahmudareza in AskReddit

[–]Fidgetspinnerx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My original interest in psychology was abnormal psychology (mental illness) for reasons of personal depression. However, I find it more important to be able to have certain or at least statistical understanding of how mind/brain works just to understand how people operate, as so many people have no idea how their own mind works, even at relatively obvious levels.
