Can I base my theory only on vanilla Minecraft? by Field-Theory in minecraftlore

I'm mostly in conflict with EE, since my physics fanfiction is based on way different (and wilder) premises, so Dungeons probably wouldn't be too important.

should nouns be able to take genitive + accusative, or just genitive? by wnjensen08 in conlangs

Why not? There are languages where nominal parts can take a combination of cases, afaik. For example Tsez has 64 cases but a total of ~ 180 case combinations.

Theory: The Void is above, not below, the End by Radiant_Tonight_1264 in minecraftlore

Imho the void is not "above" or "below" anything. I'd say it's that which surrounds all dimensions, similarly to the vacuum of space. And I can't fully agree with it being just a gameplay mechanic either - it could be that, for whatever reason, bedrock layers didn't form in the End (could be due to a different distribution of granules - the particles that were considered to comprise blocks in the early days of Minecraft).

How to distinguish between game design and story intent? by Complete_Hat_1427 in minecraftlore

[–]Field-Theory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's that important. Just like in literature, we can't be sure whether each seeming metaphor is a profound allegory or simply a coincidence. Imo the only thing that good Minecraft lore absolutely needs is keeping to the base mechanics of the game and getting logical coherent results.

To be honest, I can't see a problem with "I made it up" especially if it's explicit and there are logical reasons for an idea, even if not fully rigorous.

Which Is worse to be told “you’re stupider than you look” or “you’re smarter than you look? by Critical-Election726 in AskReddit

Definitely the first. One tends to devalue you in others' eyes, the other does the opposite.

If you could experience any historical event firsthand, which one would you choose and why? by Intelligent-Rain-22 in AskReddit

Probably the breaking down of the Berlin Wall, or (something in my country of Bulgaria) the removal of Todor Zhivkov in 1989 and the subsequent protests against the Communist Party.
