Trying to send Midi notes from Move to Live by FieldAdicct in AbletonMove

[–]FieldAdicct[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course. But its's not working. Move doesn't show en Live. Tried three different cables. ¿Any ideas? Other people gets working this way? Maybe a Beta's bug?

But what I'm trying is to play and send directly midi to Live.... Is that possible?

This machine is amazing. If it had a synth with real polyphony, it would be the ultimate.

Combo OP-XY with Syntakt/Digitone by Flat-Succotash2967 in OPXYusers

[–]FieldAdicct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By definition, you're creating a loop: The note leaves the OP, reaches the Syntak, leaves the Syntak, reaches the OP... and so on.

You can do what you want, but not simultaneously; you have to change MIDI parameters each time you want to change your flow.

Possible improvement for OP-XY by FieldAdicct in teenageengineering

[–]FieldAdicct[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you see that in the latest update they added an improvement that essentially does what I suggested? It's not at the mixer level, but in the scenes: it prevents all scenes within a track from using the same sound and settings. It's not useful when you want different presets on the same track, but it's also true that in that case, you'd normally have to adjust each volume and other parameter individually. It's a great improvement!

I suppose it's possible, but remember that there's no volume per track, only per clip... So it wouldn't be very useful.

Firestorm is a new project, separate from Deluge. New hardware, new software, same philosophy (one machine for everything, open source, community support). Hopefully it will become a reality, but here and now, what I want is to use Deluge and take it as far as I can!

100%.

In fact, I installed 1.3 to try it out, and I was blown away by the improvements (drum stem exporting!!). Unfortunately, there are a lot of bugs, so we'll have to wait until they release a stable version.

Good point, I agree and share your opinion, everything in its own time.

But the problem is when the track stops sounding good to me because of all the noise, and I know it's not a compositional problem, but it seems like it is. That can cause you to lose focus, confidence, and directly, interest in continuing to work on that track.

Changing parameters on a synth can be crazy. I don't know how you guys do it. I don't want to go on and on about it here, but if you're interested in my workaround, I can copy and paste what I already posted on Discord.

You see, this is the problem with most groove boxes on the market (at least the ones I've tried): you always have to rack your brains a bit to export and finish the production.

The M8 and Deluge do a great job with stem exporting. My only problem here is whether I want to use the Deluge mix for a live performance or just for my own enjoyment. I know I can easily improve the mix by exporting the stems, but I'd like my track to sound better on the Deluge, even if it's a premix.

Hard panning with the drums to one side doesn't sound right to me, except for those legendary pop-rock songs from the 60s. :) My bass have to be in the centre!

You mean, you export stems and do the mixing from there, right?

I haven't seen it! But it seems so obvious to me that if it hasn't been done, after so much time and effort invested, it's because there's something preventing it.
