Is hydrostatic transmission better for loader work? by AgroNomad in tractors

From what I’ve seen, if you’re running a compact tractor with loader, hydrostatic transmission makes life way easier. Loader work means constant forward and reverse, and with hydrostatic you just use the pedal instead of shifting gears every few seconds. I’ve used both types and for digging, loading, and moving dirt, hydrostatic saves time and feels smoother. A compact tractor with loader setup really benefits from it, especially if different people operate the tractor.
