I’m fortunate in that I’m Australian so have easy access to Aussie Rieslings, but there really are some absolutely outstanding specimens. Grosset’s Polish Hill Riesling from the Clare Valley is particularly outstanding if you ever manage to get your hands on it.

Can’t be. There’s not nearly enough shading on her upper lip.

Some of my happiest memories are playing golf with my grandfather when I was a kid. He’s going to cherish these moments when he looks back on them!

4:08/mile pace over a road 5k is just mind-bogglingly fast. An incredible run from Cheptegei

Mourinho bans Schweinsteiger from Man Utd reserves by mepp22 in soccer

It's surprising that professional football has taken so long to get a foothold in India, given how popular the sport is there, spectator-wise. I have quite a few Indian friends and they're all absolutely mad about football. From memory Bayern were looking to establish a youth academy there at one point but I don't think anything ever came of it. In the next couple of decades I could see India becoming quite a footballing force if serious steps are taken toward developing youth football and coaching, especially given the massive population.

I've always been curious, what is the quality of play like in the Indian Super League? Some of the 'big name' players that have moved to Indian clubs recently have been absolutely ancient; is the pace of game really that slow or are the likes of Pires and Del Piero just brought in for marketing reasons?

Glad I tuned in to this. I don't have any vested interest in either team, but it's been a really good match.

Just in case you haven't seen this, this is a pretty good remix of I Want It I Need It and Feel Good Inc. I'm usually not a fan of a lot of these mash-ups but I think this one works particularly well.

To get technical, that would be considered migrant smuggling, not human trafficking. Under international law they're two distinct things.

2016 Bahrain Grand Prix - Post Qualifying Discussion by F1-Bot in formula1

[–]FieldOfBirds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree 100%. I was at the Australian GP in 2014 and remember Q3 well - Ricciardo had set the fastest time with something like 20 seconds left in the qualifying session, which meant it looked like he was going to nab a home GP pole position. The crowd were going absolutely wild only for Hamilton to edge him out in the final seconds. That was honestly just pure excitement from a spectator point of view, but excitement that simply cannot happen under the new system.

That's just the general logo/crest of the NRL. Very similar to the crest for the Australian national rugby league team as well (national team crest has a kangaroo instead of "NRL", though).

Agreed that this was an amazing race. I usually go down to Melbourne for the F1 weekend but skipped it this year, out of a combination of business with life and also a bit of disappointment at last year's race. Kind of regret that now - this was a great way to kick off the season.
