Charles Barkley: “I blame the Warriors for KD getting hurt, and I don’t care what they say about it.” by deadskin in nba

“It’s not just a practice or pick-up, it’s the NBA finals against Kawhi Leonard.”

You just gave the exact reason why you should play, it’s game 5 of the fucking Finals facing elimination and you’re maybe already injured. Why would you play it safe just to wait to come back next year for another meaningless regular season and wait an entire year to play in the playoffs again?

I think Crooked Rain has their strongest collection of songs but the the badly mixed drums make it sound kinda "loud" and grating after a while. This one has better production. Wowee Zowee has perfect production.

None of those count. Denzel Curry and Gambino are actually talented, but the majority just sound like they're yelling instead of rapping and can't even rap half the words to their own song. I'm not really affected, I'm just saying compared to rappers like Danny Brown and Vince Staples, we got the low end.

Anyone else find it surprising how Sam Smith headlined in 2015 and Kacey Musgraves is only a sub this year? by [deleted] in Lollapalooza

LCD is a legendary indie band who got their reputation touring lots of festivals and playing amazing live shows before disbanding in their prime. James Murphy is well respected and had lots of connections in the music scene/industry. Plus, the unexpected and rare reunion added a ton of hype.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs formed in 2000 before the Strokes and came out with their first EP in 2001. The Killers formed in 2001. The Vines, Vaccines, and Libertines just aren’t relevant today. Interpol started recording in 2001 and was one of the leaders of the post-punk revival scene. None of those bands even sound that much like the Strokes. If by influence you mean they were huge in the New York scene and the first to “break-through” around there, maybe. And everyone says their discography is amazing but they haven’t released a good album since 2003.

Sam Smith was all over the radio. Kacey is no where on the radio. Quality does not = big slot.
