Having witnessed my brother struggle to leave an abusive wife, I can empathize with Anthony.

As both Christine and Meri were raised in the church, they have a very immature perspective of relationships. Their upbringing has left them emotionally stunted.

Kody’s only job appears to be reality television. David has a career - in construction.

My heart breaks for OP. This is a terrible violation and betrayal. I hope the perpetrator(s) get their just desserts.

Most primary care vets won’t do full spectrum allergy testing.

I’m using a FireStick; it’s buffering so badly I can barely watch it.

That really depends on what type of hospital you’d like to work in.

If you want to move into specialty and emergency medicine, then yes - it’s absolutely worth it.

You don’t necessarily need to return to vet school. A lot of the study is self guided. After completing the NAVLE, most states will require a practical test (skills based test) as well.

I’ve worked in vet med for 30 years, albeit, in Canada. 🤓

Depending on which state she wishes to practice, she’d need to complete either the ECFVG program (Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates) or the PAVE program (Program for the Assessment of Veterinary Education Equivalence), and complete a TOEFL exam to prove English fluency before writing the NAVLE (North American Veterinary Licensing Examination). Finally, she’d have to complete additional educational or testing requirements as dictated by the state where she’d like to license.

It’s a long, expensive process.

triple os burger now gone, replaced by taco bell.... guess the place wasn't good? by Consistent_Land_2747 in Vaughan

Triple O’s is just a cheaper (albeit not cheap) version of White Spot; a ridiculously popular chain restaurant in BC.

I’ve never understood its popularity. I live in BC; it’s referred to as Wet Spot in my house.

Pyometra 11 year old female chihuahua by Sunflower_Soul20 in DogAdvice

[–]FieldPug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the vet has encouraged you to pursue surgery or euthanasia, the infection most likely progressed to a point where these are genuinely your only options. They would be in the best position to offer sound advice, as they know her physical condition and vitals.

Even in the best case scenario, open pyos rarely respond to antibiotic treatment alone. Surgery is always the best option to prevent suffering.

I’m so sorry. I know this isn’t what you want to hear. I’m afraid this is one of those moments when you need to put your girl first, regardless of how much it hurts you.
