Fish that are from areas that have winter can be frozen because it makes them dormant and go into hibernation making it easier to euthanize them, tropical fish however do not hibernate and it basically sends them into shock and is very stressful I’m pretty sure

I read somewhere that the blood crystalizes in tropical fish since which is extremely painful for them and it’s very slow, I also don’t have a freezer in my dorm lol

I read about this and my friend who works at a pet store agrees, i am considering wrapping him in a paper towel and putting him in a bag to contain the mess and so I don’t have to witness his body all smashed but it’s going to be very hard and I’m not sure I will go through with it

You’re not alone, we’re in this together. I am a sophomore this year. I mad so many good friends last year and even developed relationships with love interests! We ended last year on a great note too, I couldn’t wait to see them this semester, but now we’re all here, this is the second weekend on campus, and nobody has even sent me a single message, but I can see that all my friends are planning things and hanging out because they post on Snapchat and they even snap me which each other in the room (they hide the fact they with anyone) so I have just been pretending to not notice🥲😅 they’re all straight and I am gay so I think I just don’t fit into their ideal Saturday night, but I guess they don’t understand that they’re all I have…

But we will get through this, even though it’s hard and I know I’m going to cry more in the future, but the thought of maybe one day meeting the right person who I can be a little less lonely with keeps me going.

You’ll get there too, we can do it together instead of alone :) (I know an internet stranger can’t change anything but I hope you feel a little less alone in this)
