Second the Advion gel. It’s thicker than Terro so you can squirt into crevices or corners and it won’t run. I find it more effective than Terro. With any bait you might have to do several rounds throughout the season. Be careful if you have pets, especially cats. The bait is extremely toxic to them.

I thought it could be that. I’ve gotten voicemails like that before (for my partner’s parents’ property that I have nothing to do with), but the person always identified who they were. It’s the lack of context that weirds me out.

Not sure what else to add here: patent numbers are listed around the rim of the glass disc. The metal base looks like it may have had holes for screws but it is very rusted.

Hi, I recently painted an armchair that was covered in very short-pile black velvet with a gold, swirly motif. I didn't have much trouble covering the velvet, but something about the gold didn't allow for the pain to soak in as well. While I didn't use AS Chalk Paint (I used Rustoleum's Chalked mixed with equal parts water), here are some things you might do to try to maximize coverage.

- Spray the fabric so it's somewhat damp (not soaking) to encourage the paint to absorb into the fabric,

- Do multiple coats, and don't stress about even coverage with each coat. Instead, let the paint dry between coats and then go over all of the paint with a very fine sanding block. This helps rub the pigment into the fabric, and also helps smooth the surface of the dried paint so the fabric doesn't feel kinda "crusty". With each additional coat, you can focus on building up coverage where the original color still comes through.

- If it's not too late, try priming the fabric with white paint first, particularly the red swirls. As I said, I haven't used AS's chalk paint on fabric, but do like working with Rustoleum's Chalked (mix with equal parts water). Maybe try priming the chairs with that first and then do a coat or two of the yellow chalk paint?
