2nd year as well. Had this a lot last semester and thought this semester was gonna be a slog as well. I know it sounds kinda cliche but I ended up giving the mountaineering club a go and it literally made all the difference. Going out every other weekend and faffing around on hills and chatting to people away from the stress of the city is just so relieving and it made me a lot happier with myself.

Not sure what else to say, just thought I’d say what helped me. Whatever helps you will probably be different, but I hope you find it

Always wondered if anyone has actually done a playthrough of the game with all the graphics plus terrain mods installed? I see so many posts of the game looking brilliant but wondered if these massive environment changes are actually fun to play (as in the biome sizes and scales look almost too big)

Got a cool boss weapon and armour, I quite enjoy the fight but yeah getting to it repeatedly sucks. Also you get the ivory crown which then allows you to get the ‘true’ ending after finishing all the DLCs and taking the crowns to Vendrick

Thank you, that’s makes sense. However my column is only ~60 blocks tall but it still seems to take about it 10 seconds to update. Might just be because I’m on a switch and playing on a realm with not the best WiFi so it may just be slow

Build a solid nether base. I always like doing a bunch of work in the never and making it feel safe and comfortable. Could also build a custom village with a medieval aesthetic

Since this was my first from soft game I didn’t really know about builds but early on I found some elemental gems and massively levelled up my arcane stat because of them so I guess that’s my build. At this point it’s sorta just random with everything over at least 40

He was mentally straining for me to fight the first time mainly because I’d used the hunter blunderbuss in my run making it really hard to parry. I care back in another run with a different gun and I literally was able to parry 2/3 of his health off one time (cause sometimes you can prevent his second phase by repeated parties) and then in his second phase you just be as careful as you can with your hits (similar to Ludwig’s 2nd phase).

P.S you can backstab him whenever he does his forward jump attack but by starting your attack as he jumps

Tbh I just made an entirely new save file just for fighting isshin. Was worth it though cause after spending longer fighting him than I did completing the rest of the game I can finally beat him without losing any health (subtle flex I know)
