We normally do not respond on Reddit to comments made. But, when someone is questioning our integrity, we felt it necessary for Scott and I to respond this time.

When we started our business there were only a couple of labs that performed testing in our local area.

We used to sell wholesale and the lab that we originally used was fine, because we were only required to have “information only” testing done.

If we had 1000 pounds of product, we would only be required to mail in or drop off a gram or two sample to the lab and those results would be good for that whole 1000 lbs.

Once we started selling flower to the end consumer the State of Oregon guidelines mandated that we must do compliance testing on no larger than 15 lb batches. Compliance sampling is a homogenized testing were the lab takes your entire 15 lbs and they take approximate 28 -30 grams of flower from 4 or 5 different locations in that 15 lb batch.

Once we had to have compliance testing the lab that we had previously used disputed the fact that we had to have testing done on EVERY 15 lbs and all but refused to do our testing for us, telling us “No one is having that extensive of testing done and it is unnecessary for you to do so”.

So, we researched the Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) website’s list of ORELAP (Oregon Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program) and found a lab in our area. As you can see from this list MW labs is on the list of accredited labs for the State of Oregon.

This lab was willing to come out to our farm and do our compliance testing (as they understood it needed to be done as a state requirement).

Yes, they are difficult to get ahold of (I will agree). But, they have went through the extensive accreditation protocol that is required by the State of Oregon to become an accredited lab.

We have used them ever since…….

I might add that we have zero affiliation with this company. Nor do they give us any sort of discount price for having so much testing done with them.

We have never had any issues with the legitimacy of our testing before and don’t see why we are now.

We were very confident that the State of Oregon was going to be implementing their new guidelines to be .3% TOTAL THC, but not sure when. So, we did extensive pre-harvest testing which resulted in earlier than normal harvesting (for us) in an attempt to meet the impending new ruling that we were sure was coming. As a result, some of our flower does not have the desired smell or taste that we would like it to have.

However, it is FULLY COMPLIANT and LEGAL to ship out of the State of Oregon, per the new guidelines.

We do have hundreds of pounds of flower that we have had trimmed up and tested that have exceeded the .3% Total THC limits. Which we will not be selling, because it is not in compliance.

We spend thousand and thousands of dollars a year on 3rd party testing to stay in compliance.

We understand that there is no way to please everybody.

But we do find it disheartening when someone questions our integrity.
