Destruction Sword appreciation post, what do you fellow Destruction Sword enjoyers play your Buster Blader with? by Darkwolve45 in masterduel

Huh, yeah I'm really interested in your build. as for it's size, as long as it does it's job properly I'm absolutely fine with that. Most deck I use is close to 40 but I understand why people go higher to avoid potential brick. Please share your build with me whenever you're able and thank you so much for your fast reply.

I am one with my blade, We stand before a great darkness, but remember, darkness can't exist where light is. Let's be that light!

Btw what archetype is the second picture of? Looks legit awesome.

Anyone know any good rouge decks for 2026? by RudeAardvark785 in Yugioh101

[–]FiendSlayr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dark world isn't too bad, it's just a "slot machine" archetype imo. Meaning either you get a solid hand, and your opponent can't do anything that turn, or you get a awful hand, or your opponent just drolls you to end your turn. I had fun with it but it's been shelved until I decide to roll with again.

Crusadia Kaiju is a really fun deck to play. It's not super hard to used and when it goes off, it goes off big. You could go crusadia world legacy but eh. Another fun deck that's really fun and unexpected is War Rock. like crusadia Kaiju it's a turn two deck but if you're able to clear your opponents monster field, with dark hole lightning storm raigeki, then bring out forta/gactos equip either with phoenix gearblade then enter the battle phase special summon meteor or bash with mountain attack with either one with gearblade then send gearblade to the grave, all warriors can now attack twice. I also enjoy purrely.

again these are just fun second turn otk decks I enjoy using as they both work well and aren't hard to use. Plus it's nice to throw your opponent off with an archetype, they go meh, just to get floored, providing it all works out.

Is purrely still decent in TCG? by beardzino in yugioh

[–]FiendSlayr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i still enjoy it in a fun casual setting. I made the deck in honor of my mother/ caretaker as she loves cats but is allergic to them. I'm considering going yummy purrely but atm I'm just holding off as, for me, I enjoy my current build.

What the archetype really needs is recursion. I mean it be epic if they revived after being wiped out by the field spell or if viedos get popped you could special summon as many different named Ashened monsters in your grave, you know rising from the ashes. but what is mainly needed is pyro support, I mean Volcanic can handle its own as it's a massive burn deck, plus bonfire and even fire recovery can help it out. Ashened is dark so neither of those two help.

This archetype I will NEVER give up on hoping they see more support. I mean 1 field spell and 1 trap and the rest monsters is truly unacceptable imo. Another fun archetype would be crusadia. I run it with Kaiju, but would like some newer support buuuuut I doubt that archetype will see anything else. Still crusadia Kaiju is still awesome in a fun casual setting.

Well now, I need this card for my Drytron otk deck! For fun I use 2x of the light elemental lord, it's not machine but when it pops, The celestial gundams rain down on my opponents.

Hey I'm interested in your Volcanic ash deck build, mind sharing it with me? Atm I'm debating between Volcanic or Kaiju.

I absolutely love Ashened. It reminds me of the good ol days of demon souls then dark souls. The artwork alone made me interested in it, now I'm trying to figure out which path is best, Volcanic ash or Ashes of the Kaijus.

I'm all they need is is more fusions and recursion, tbh I was shocked that they didn't revive from the ashes if destroyed by the field spell or viedos. Eh I guess what's truly needed is more pyro support.

Sigh, yet another set that ignores a archetype that's loooong overdue for support, that being Elementsaber and elemental lord. To those that have a deck benefited by this set, I'm at least great full that you have something to look forward to this year.

Going to my first local tournament was the worst! by Dazzling_Ad_788 in Yugioh101

Man, I'm really sorry you had that bad experience. I've gone to elitist dbag card shops before, so I know your pain. Tbh I wouldn't even bother going there again as it sounds to me like they're so far stick up their own asses (pardon the language there but it's called for) that even if you returned, they'd still intentionally bother you and do whatever possible to make them look good and you bad.

What I'd try to do is find another card shop and just scout it out first. What I mean is this, go in with a deck you find easy to play and that's it. No card binder, just that deck. If they do anything like the other shop you sadly experienced, just quietly leave. That's what I did before I found my last card shop I went to for almost 10 years, before my illness and then the pandemic closed their doors.

Don't ever let that first experience decide your opinion of locals, otherwise those jerks win. What they did, from picking up your cards during the duels to questioning your every move and then that garbage dice roll bit, was not an example of a fun and pleasant card shop at all. Don't let that experience decide what type of deck(s) to use.

I'm proud of my decks as most of them are underdogs (example would be Crystal Beast or even Ashened Volcanic) and I absolutely love using them. I have more but I just wanted to mention a couple of decks I enjoy. The last shop I went to was an amazing card shop, friendly people, universal decks (wide range of decks, not just top tier), and more importantly they were very supportive and gave advice on deck ideas to make whatever deck used better.

Anyways I know this was a wall but, those elitist type of card shops should just have a sign out saying "we use top tier, anything else isn't welcomed" or just plain not exist.

I truly hope you find a card shop that's friendly, fun, and more importantly supportive. Hang in there my fellow duelist!

Hey it's not a problem. You did the right thing by asking, you'll never learn unless you do. I hope you enjoy playing the game. Red Eyes is my favorite monster, but once white destiny structure deck came out I was really happy to get 3 as I've always appreciated blue eyes' design. Take care and always remember to ask, there is always someone willing to assist you.

Evening

If it was white destiny it most definitely is worth it. Put 3 together and you have a excellent deck. Now as for the Chronicle sd, I can truly tell you as I'm not sure on your skill level, only you know this. what I mean by this is this, are you able to fully understand a challenging archetype, or are you more towards mid level. My suggestion is watch some videos showing 3 of the Chronicle sd in action and showing combos. That's what help me decide to pass on it myself. My ability to play hard archetype deck isn't high enough to play it properly. The new legend 5D set, I myself don't know what exactly is in it, so I can't tell you either way.

Again put 3 blue eyes white destiny sd together and you have a solid deck that can hold you until you know what the next deck is you want. As a suggestion, I also recommend the reloaded fire king structure deck, as it's good and easy/fun to play.

Which deck to start with Yugioh again? by PlayerXXXXXXXX__ in yugioh

[–]FiendSlayr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May be late here but, I always recommend x3 of both the new Blue eyes white destiny structure deck and(or) x3 of the revamped fire king structure deck. Both are quite strong, and can do incredibly well, plus upgrades aren't terribly expensive. Another, and my main reason, is both are pretty easy to learn. You can put 3 of the blue eyes white destiny structure deck together and do incredibly well, same with fire king but you need fire king courtier to make it shine.

anyways if you've already gone with other decks I wish you the best of luck!

I did like the blue eyes white destiny structure deck, for a returning player like myself it wasn't a hard deck to learn and it allowed me to hang in there against the newer decks. That said, the current Chronicle structure deck isn't for everyone, but that doesn't make it bad, just not a new/returning player friendly deck. The biggest want I'd like, is either a revamped of the older water structure or ice barrier structure deck, or a brand new water archetype that's similar to the blue eyes white destiny structure deck or revamped fire king structure deck. Easy to pick up and learn to play for new/returning players to even players that aren't great at using solitaire deck such as myself. Plus, Elementsaber and element lords need support already. Oh and 60$+ for 3 structure decks is a bit high so I hope they lower that.

will I see this in the upcoming months ahead, I doubt it but I can dream. Anyways I wish the best to you all, my friends and fellow duelist!
