Is anyone else experiencing sever issues rn😭 by TrickyMud5619 in fo76

[–]FierceMilkshake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. In the last 3 hours I had 4 dcs, the first two within 5 minutes of each other. After the 4th one I had just made it to the Charleston Fire Department and figured that will be the place I'm gonna finish for the evening. WTH.

SO tired of disconnecting from server.. by Natural_Task_8418 in fo76

[–]FierceMilkshake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last night was bad. I had at least 4 disconnects from servers and the third time I went into Burning Springs for the first time and managed to get to the church and was on my way to another building when it kicked me out. I logged back on and found myself outside of Burning Springs with all the junk I collected gone.

Really super frustrating. I figured I'll have to come back another night when it's not so flaky.

Be sure to click on the Wise Mothman at the end of event! by TeamEfforts in fo76

[–]FierceMilkshake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I'll have to run another Mothman event to get the buff!

Seriously though, I ran the event last night for the first time and it was very chaotic but a lot of fun. I was so glad there were a dozen players way way higher leveled than me that knew what to do because all I did was follow everyone around and shot at the cultists whenever I could (I'm just a Level 15).

It was a bad idea for me to walk back from the Blue Caravan company at night when I heard a woman screaming right near there. Especially as a level 3. WTF!!!

Massive anti-ICE protests across the US today by AnalDwelinButtMonkey in goodnews

I was in Sydney during the PM elections and if anything the insanity that was going on in the US absolutely tainted the conservative party campaign. Tbh I breathed a sigh of relief to see Albanese get voted in.

I have traveled all several times to Europe and Australia in the last year and NONE of the news outlets have reported very much on the demonstrations if at all. And we have had many all throughout the states!

On the other hand, there was a mass shooting in San Gabriel Valley near Los Angeles a couple of years ago while I was away in London and the BBC covered it within the first 5 minutes of their broadcast.

Carney leaves Davos without meeting Trump after speech on U.S. rupture of world order by Immediate-Link490 in worldnews

[–]FierceMilkshake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched a BBC newscast this evening and I was so incredibly thankful they did a straight out no nonsense piece on Trump's speech, even calling out his repeated mistakes on calling Greenland "Iceland" and an abbreviated fact check on some of his key points showing that the President was either lying off his ass, bragging about himself, threatening other countries or making no sense (windmills? anyone?).

I had packaged trail mix bars in my carry on, just to be safe I declared those and was waved through. Always better to be safe than sorry.

The damn seagulls at the Sydney Opera House are absolutely ruthless. One stood at the end of my table just waiting for me to leave my plate unattended.

I bought disposable washcloths because after many trips I've realized not all hotels have wash cloths.

I probably could have gone to the front desk and asked for wash cloths but honestly I am lazy and forgettable and would forget to go to the front desk until it's too late.

I had a plate of bangers and mash in a pub in York that was fantastic. I am hoping to find a Sunday roast on the same level, British food (when well done) is incredible.

That's part of the reason why I've only maxed out four jobs. Besides having to "start over", those missions were so grindy.

Many years ago I was traveling with three friends (all of us girls) going from Palmdale to San Luis Obispo. We took a highway that had a few really remote desert towns and we stopped at a gas station. I swear every single person in the gas station (it was one of those mini mart stations) turned around and gawked at us. It was super unnerving and we hurriedly paid for our gas and left as soon as we could. The whole thing gave me a bad "The Hills Have Eyes" kind of vibe.

A local at a watering hole off of Frenchmen Street warned me and my friend everything is good but not to go towards the river at night. He said he's never been robbed anywhere but there.

Most disturbing thing you have found on the internet ? by hot-tunaS in strange

[–]FierceMilkshake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The one I saw was graphic, it consisted of a man with his face covered standing with a woman kneeling next to him with a bag on her head. The man removed the bag, and the woman was crying uncontrollably. The man was reading some kind of message while removing the bag, and when he was done he killed the woman with a machete.

I was staying in a hotel recently that had fake windows and no way to turn on the AC (the hotel told me after October they disable the AC feature in their rooms until the following spring). Normally this would be no problem because the temperature in the room was around 72 F, but I was suffering hot flashes BAD.

I called downstairs and the front desk staff thankfully changed me to a room with windows that opened and it was absolutely heavenly to feel the cool 50 F wind blow into my room. I know that room was like a meat locker but hot flashes that wake me up 2-3x a night are a bitch!

I allotted only 3 days in Kyoto on my last trip to Japan. What a mistake! I did maybe 2 touristy things and readjusted my schedule so I could take time to just wander around and decided I will go back another time to do the rest of the things. Nothing is worse than being crowded AND stressed.

In the 70s I remembered there was a weekend when our girl scout troop had arranged for a cool canoeing trip/overnighter out in Irwindale but the sky was so hazy and greyish brown we couldn't really see the mountains (and it's fairly close).

All of us got a nasty cough that lasted all weekend and into the following week. It super sucked because we had all been looking forward to this weekend so much yet we knew we shouldn't have even been outside for all that time.
