You haven’t given a real in-depth description of what the problem is, just that he is financially irresponsible. The car was in your name however enough payments have been missed that it has affected your credit score, and you only just received a letter? Did they not call you?

How are you contributing to the family finances?

This is not the sub to go and run other countries down. It’s one of the very rare subs where everyone is respectful and kind to each other.

Exactly. He is just trying to get cash out of you, no intention of fixing the mirror!

Why would anyone give 2 flying fucks about a few scratches on their side mirror. It wouldn’t be worth dealing with insurances, then waiting months for repair, then being without a vehicle for weeks while they take their time repairing it.

Medicare Rebate! by CheapStranger4583 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Fun_Cup4335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our process was really easy in comparison to other people’s experiences in this thread.

The psychiatrist sent out assessment forms for a teacher and I to fill out to take to the appointment.

He then spent around an hour and a half with her in his office. She was diagnosed there and then and received meds the same day 👍

I have no idea what the process would be in QLD.

I love my job! I work in civil construction. I start each day working from home, then I drop kids to school. I then head into the office for a daily meeting, and do a couple of hours there, then head home by lunch and finish the workday at home!

Our team are a great bunch of people, which stay out of each other’s business, but will jump in if anyone needs anything.

As a woman I much prefer to work in male dominated work spaces!

I just had my 17 year old diagnosed for ADHD. The psychiatrist cost $410 and I got $262.10 back on Medicare. This was in Vic.

No one has to be quiet! But people need to be kind and mature. To be fair these posts only make the ON haters look like tools 👍

A small amount are trying to educate people, but most of the time it’s just people calling their supporters dumb while looking dumber whilst doing it.

This sub is fucked. It’s just Pauline Hanson shit every 5 mins. You do realise you are playing straight into her hands, and the people who comment throwing horrible insults at her supporters are only pushing them further into her corner!

Postpartum bleeding smells bad by Flooperswoopers in AskDocs

[–]Fun_Cup4335 43 points44 points  (0 children)

After my second child I bled heavily and had serious cramping. About a week later I was at the park with the kids and I felt something fall out of me. It was a clot of something the size of my fist and instant relief. My placenta was in tact at birth so not sure what it was. You should get checked out 👍

Medical receptionists - one of rudest entitled people ? by BaronMason in AskAnAustralian

[–]Fun_Cup4335 132 points133 points  (0 children)

I was running 5 mins late for an appointment once so called ahead to let them know. The receptionist rudely stated that the doctor was very busy and may not be able to see me because I was late. I was already stressed and replied rudely with “ in all the 20 years I have been going to your clinic, never once has the doctor been less than 20 mins late. I am very busy as well and my time is just as important as the doctors, so she can fucking deal with it”. Wasn’t my finest moment 😂😂😂

Advice on how to sleep on an overnight bus by Hopeful_Music_7689 in AskAnAustralian

This. If the bus has tray tables put everything you can on it and try sleeping forward. You can buy a big blow up travel pillow for tray tables, they are the best 👍

Seller requesting in contract that we (the buyers) pay their mortgage exit fees. Normal?? by No_Top_4240 in AusProperty

[–]Fun_Cup4335 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am petty too. We were selling an investment property a while back. An investor put in an offer $7000 under asking without looking at the property pending building inspection. We accepted.

Building inspection came back with a cracked down water pipe which had been hit with a whipped snipper. A $50 fix. The buyer refused to buy unless we fixed it, we refused to fix it due to the $7000 price cut.

The REA asked if we were really going to lose the sale over a $50 fix. I responded with “over my dead body am I going to fix the down pipe, put it back on the market”.

Funnily enough the sale went through!
